I've had my 2019 440i GranCoupe M Performance for 1 week exactly. And I LOVE IT! The M Performance Exhaust is incredible I have yet to blast the amazing stereo cuz I love hearing the car. Worth every penny. The best is when you make a perfect shift and hear the crackle between gears....just wow.

@@M4516-c9f In comfort mode its really not that bad to be honest, esp if you take it easy. It's still a 6 cylinder tho no matter which way you cut it.

I bought a 440i Coupe last week and I have to say the 3 litre engine is a masterpiece with the 8 speed auto . The steering in comfort is great for town driving , put it into sport and it weights up nicely for more spirited driving . I think the power is all the power you would need for a daily driver but there is obviously plenty of room for safe / reliable tuning this engine was designed with tuning in mind I think . The ride on M Sport suspension is not overly firm but you can opt for adaptive too . The tech / infotainment gives everything you need but on pre 2019 / 2020 there is no Android auto ( can be retrofitted and lots of coding options available ) but there is carplay as an option and i would recommend getting the extended Bluetooth option . My conclusion.... its a fantastic car that gives plenty of smiles , practicality with the Gran Coupe especially , great mpg for a 3 litre ( I got 33mph round town stop / start ) and it flies under the radar a bit unless you spot the twin pipes . Check the spec levels are what you need and just buy one . You will not be disappointed.

@@MatiKosa ... Hi ... I've had the car now for 18 months and had no problems at all . Maintenance costs depend on whether you use a BMW main dealer or a specialist independent garage which would be cheaper . I use BMW and the cost for a major service in UK sterling was around £500 but this could differ depending on where you are located . The major is due every two years or depending on mileage with the lesser service in the alternate years . I change the oil every year or 10,000 miles which was around the £110.00 mark at BMW . So in 18 months I've spent about £750.00 on services . I've put two new Pirelli Zero tyres on it which were around the £190.00 mark each . The car has been faultless but I would strongly suggest you get one with an impeccable service history . The engine is a masterpiece in my opinion . Go for an untouched non modified one , then if you want to modify or tune it at least you know how well the work has been done . You will have a blast trust me . I would have no hesitation in buying another , in fact I'm looking at the newer G series 440i at the moment . Hope this helps .

I will be getting a used car obviously, but hopefully the B58 will still be running fine after few years and no major service will be required, although I am not new to BMWs, so I am fully aware things can go wrong, gearbox may require an oil change, xDrive system may require a repair, hopefully the engine itself will last - it has a timing chain located at the back, dual Vanos, Valvetronic and a Twin scroll turbo, plus obviously 6 injectors. I am not even mentioning tons of lambda probes and other sensors, but the above things can be the most pricey ones.

@@MatiKosa ... mine was a 2018 model with 26,000 miles on it and no problems at all . I bought it from BMW as an approved one by them with 12 months warranty. To extend the warranty after 12 months with BMW it was around the £500 mark per year . Its now got nearly 38,000 on it and still running sweet . As you know maintenance and maintenance is the key to lessen the chances of problems but its mechanical so fingers crossed 🤞 . Enjoy its a true sleeper . 😉

Nice video. I just bought mine 2 weeks ago..Its a 2017 430i Grand Coupe with all the bells and whistles on it. I love everything about it and driving in sport plus is a beast. It doesn't mess around on the road. Its got some get up and go.

@@24YT07 Hi there and thanks for contacting me. I had drove both the 430i and the 440 at a dealership once before I bought my 430i Gran Coupé. I took a chance and bought the 430i because it just felt like it handled the road better and because of the color which is Brown Metallic. At times it looks like a black car until you get right up on it then it is actually brown. I hope you pick the one that's for you. Have a good one!👍

@@Handyquack547 HI there. You can actually search KZbin videos of this car and some differences. From what I have seen from the different year models is that not much has changed interior wise from the 2017 to the 2019 or 2020 unless you upgrade to the 7 series. It's a good price jump when you upgrade up to the 7 series. Have a good one.

Was for very long debating between the 430i and 440i I think I’ve made my mind up thanks to your video. It’s going to be the 440i. The car would be a long term vehicle. So didn’t want to get 430i then upgrade to 440i after few years.

I recently changed my Jaguar XF 3.0D ( With Stage 1 remap making 280 bhp and 444ft lb torque) for a 440I coupe. The BMW has far more road / tyre noise, even though I have changed the run flats for Pilot Sport 5s, feels much less torquey low down and is far less comfortable with jiggly ride. Much more fun handling though and the engine is so smooth and makes a lovely noise.

I got the 430i coupe, very happy with that. I find it fast enough and fuel consumption is low on long journeys. Still, when I replace the 430i I will attempt to go for a 440i, not the new model but the older F32 as I absolutely dislike the new shape, not only is the grill ugly but the design in general.

I'd go for the 440i as it's slightly more stylish and just as practical. From the drivers seat there's no perceivable difference in handling etc. Only major difference is passenger head room in the rear. The 340i will have a little bit more of it.

Looking at this for a replacement to my E70 X5 40D when I no longer need the space. Does this generation 440i come with the B58 lump or the N55? Agree that a BMW without a 6 pot feels unsatisfied.

That’s weird, my 2018 m440i has cameras all around it. You just gotta use the drive system to find the different camera angles

New subscriber here , I love this car should i get 440i coupe (2017) or m4(2017) or audi S5 (2017)is the m440i / m4 feel more outdated than audi interior wise and less luxurious or the difference isnt that significant, i do care about brand status and fun driving experience, I assume people think bmw is more luxurious than audi , also will getting m4 be better than 440i ? the interior of the audi s5 is nicer than the M4 or 440i but the way both BMW's drive is more fun. For balance between fun and comfort i'd say the 440i is the best option. If you want a proper sports car then the M4 is in a different league even when compared to the 440i.

@@joshyt46 S3 is a great car for daily driving. A45 is much more raw but not as comfortable. Personally i’d take the s3 as i spend a lot of time in traffic haha.

@@kqiq02 Cruise control makes a lot of small adjustments, more than a good driver will do when one try to drive to save fuel. Cruise control will be a it more aggressive, imagine the egg on the pedal comparison.

From 68 onwards bmw fitted the 440i with a petrol particulate filter which unfortunately subdues the sound.
