My father was 15 when he joined partisans in WW II. First few battles he was so scared he was hiding with his head covered shaking in fear. Over time, he got more and more brave, and eventually, fighting was like going to work. No fear, no feelings, no sense of right or wrong, no empathy. He survived the war, but his 2 brothers did not. He was never the same. He was a bad husband and even worse father to me. He drank heavily and suffered from severe depression.

ParaLight WorX, the quality and attention to the smallest detail of your productions are simply beyond parallel. Nothing produced in Hollywood or anywhere else can even compare. I spot the difference in the every small detail everywhere and I am so glad I stumbled across these shorts you make. German is not a language I learned at school sadly, but as an Englishman I can still pick up, and indeed interpret, what is being said, better by every episode I watch so that is not a problem. You work is just incredible, uniquely encompassing simultaneously the reality of war and the genuine emotional human element without the usual Hollywood "soppiness" . I will re- post this comment in some of your later productions just to make sure you get my message of appreciation.

Have you watched the movie "Come and See"?! It is the story of Khatyn, a small village in Belarus. All the villagers- women, children, old people - all of them were burn alive. It is all documented during Nirenberg trial later. There were 618 villages in USSR that repeated the Faith of Khatyn. This is the REAL " reality of war"!

my great grandfather was a soviet, after kursk he spoke with a captured german, my great grandfather spoke german quite well and was able to understand the german was 19, and forced into the army, my great grandfather was 21, had been fighting since 1941 and he said for that brief moment he felt human once again, he didn’t feel like a soldier, and realized even though the germans had destroyed his home, there were some good ones, after the war my great grandfather and the german would become friends and meet each other regularly until he would pass away last year.

Hi. Before you get too emotional.. Reality check. Germany invaded the whole of Europe. T'hese "innocent"soldlers bombed complete nations into rubble, kiilled millions of civilians because they were Untermenschen.Yes also Wehrmacht not only SS; I had two uncles fighting for the Wehrmacht. They surrendered as soon as they could . I think it is a bit cheap t( false romantic narrative) to pretend as if the majority of Germany did not choose for Den Totalen Krieg ( All out war) . There is a sort of dangerous revisionism going viral that Germany was just a victim af that little man with the Moustache.. 17 million Germans fought for Nazy Germany. The feelings of "we were used"only began when Germany started to loose battles.
