No joke, I absolutely prefer this over what KSP2 looks like right now. KSP2 feels too… ‘glossy’, I guess? Parallax 2.0 is exactly how I’d want a successor to KSP to look; Crisp and full of detail, yet still very much ‘Kerbal’! Also, I REALLY wanna use this with RSS/RO!

KSP 2 should look better than it currently does but if it has proper multi-core processing support and it can be properly modded (as much or more than KSP 1) I wouldn't be so worried; if you compare KSP 1 to modded KSP 1, the modded one looks extremely good (for a +10 year game)

Games in alpha will never look perfect at first, sometimes a long way down the pipeline you end up remaking parts of your lighting engine and suddenly everything changes. I do hope we get something that looks like modded KSP in stock KSP2.

You glorious madman, you did it. I've been wondering about doing something like this (terrain scatter overhaul) for years now but never got 'round to it, and I'm so happy to see that it's possible. Only thing that KSP doesn't (yet?) have is a rewrite of the PQS system to take advantage of ECS and perhaps an implementation of marching cubes to allow for full 3D terrain. Maybe one day...

I came back to ksp after almost 6 years, with all them mods it looks so amazing! Especially all the surfaces omg!! They re so stunning , moon landings fell different. Honestly the subtitles are just as good as the mod its self lol. Just saying ya got a great sense of humor bro, and honestly, this has to be the best mod is the KSP Community hands down. It makes this game still look relevant TODAY with KSP2 out still and all. Some of the best work I've seen freely released for a video game, and only further solidifies my view on paying money for 3rd party content or MODS for a game you *ALREADY* paid for, because shit like shit exists for free, and look at the mods for Skyrim, they made the "Special Edition" YEARS before Bethesda got to it and just made the newer lighting system and shaders and water a default lmao. Also to further my point, I'll put money on that you put more work into this mod than the person who made the Volumetric Clouds mod. I don't know if it's still a "Paid" mod these days to be fair, but last I heard it costed money, and I really don't care if it was just $1.00, it's a damn mod, get off your high horse douche and get real. Made videos and trailers on it and made ad rev off it like a normal person, or, just put it behind one of those quick adwall link sites to make a few pennies per download, and if your mod is that good, you'll make a few grand off it. But don't go and charge people $3, $4, or $5+ bucks just because you think your mod is "premium" compared to everyone elses. Now I'm not going and saying I condone piracy, that shit can burn some people, while some deserve it, a lot don't. However, on the other hand, I can TOTALLY understand why people pirate from certain people or certain developers, but lets be honest, the #1 reason why is because they're broke and don't want to pay for whatever it is, I'm just saying, I understand.
