I don't see why not. I have not learned Blender yet but I know it's incredibly capable, much more mature than Spline. As I understand, the main difference is that Spline is built specifically for real-time rendering like on websites, whereas Blender is more for high-fidelity, pre-rendered graphics. I'm sure Blender can do real-time too but I'm not sure how.
