@@cruisenpass sir..i passed my test in Saudi Arabia around 8 years ago. There, we were not allowed to look back by turning neck. Only the mirrors were used to get the rear view. However, side blind spots were checked. Sir I dont know the logic of looking through the rear window by turning neck rather than using the mirror. As the mirror gives all the view needed. I donot know why that is a failing point here in the UK.

When you just check only side mirrors your view is restricted check blind spots first and than use side mirrors no problem but just not trust only side mirrors because situations changes rapidly so check bind spots time by time while checking side mirrors you can’t fail
