I passed my driving test just over a month ago after 2 and a half years of learning, with my test being rescheduled 6 times due to the pandemic - which definitely knocked my confidence! I binge watched your videos the days coming up to my test, and I really don't think I would have passed without them! They helped me a lot! Thanks for creating such helpful videos to help people like me, keep up the great work! :)

I literally thought I was reading my own comment right here 😂 I passed on the 3rd of September after also 2.5 years of learning with 7 cancelled or postponed tests and 2 actual attempts 😬 along with over £6000 🙄 I knew it was going to be expensive but had no idea it could reach such extravagant costs obviously down to the pandemic and needing so many lessons on and off during lockdown and restrictions 😑 I passed with 3 minors on the 3rd and just collected my brand new Volkswagen polo on the 29th 😁 I’m absolutely in love with driving I feel so happy and like I’m able to live my life, had no reason to learn how to drive until now at age 36 but all the waiting frustrations and money spent has been 100% worth it 😁 How are you doing with your driving? I’m ok but my street is extremely narrow and where I usually excel at reverse parallel parking it’s really nocking my confidence because I’m struggling to get into the tight spots the road is extremely narrow and swinging out leaves me mounting the kerb 😬 any tips? Or in fact any other tips at all from one new driver to another? Congratulations and welcome to the beautiful new world of freedom 😉

@@tzuamourshihtzu9871 Oh damn I’m so sorry to hear you went through all that! It’s so expensive, if I’m honest I didn’t realise how expensive learning to drive would be, let alone keeping a car! 😂 Oh wow congratulations, that’s awesome to hear! You deserve it! And there’s no age limit on when you can learn to drive, you’ll do it when you’re ready 😊 I’m doing okay actually, my confidence has gotten so much better! Haha same with my road, it’s so stressful! Honestly, I’m not too sure - I’ve kind of been learning as I go along really? I feel like I’ve learnt so much more since passing! Thanks so much, and you too! 😊

@@hollieeebee oh yea I mean I did expect it to be expected I anticipated well over £3000 however not over £6000 infact it was probably closer to £7000 🙄 however it’s certainly been worth it, I absolutely love my car and I love driving I don’t even have anywhere to go but make a point of going somewhere every single day at least once for a drive just to gain as much experience as possible really as I need to travel down south before Christmas so first time on the motorway 😬 I hear it’s actually easier than the dual carriageways but I’ll have to be the judge of that when the time comes 😆 They do say don’t they that once you pass your test and get a car you really start to begin learning and I can definitely confirm that’s the case for me I feel so much more confident than a month ago 🤷♀️ keep driving happy and safe.x

This is a good follow-up video on parallel parking Chris as this is what mostly the situation in actual life could be. I've passed my test 3 years ago and have not done any parallel parking as I avoided it as much as possible. But today was a test of memory and skill when I have no choice but to do parallel parking between two cars. It was not bad but not as smooth as I want it to be. This was my first attempt alone after passing 3 years ago, I was proud of myself that I managed to park my car nicely between two cars. Thanks to your video on parallel parking Chris (the other one) because I remember this method and I specifically choose yours because I do drive a Ford Fiesta too, lol. Keep up the good work!

@thenonexistinghero3 жыл бұрын
It's not quite that bad in my country (Netherlands), but it's a bit tighter than what you see in this video. Well, if I feel like a space is too tight or if I fail 2-3 times, I will just look for another space (which could sometimes take a while). I'm getting better, but I suppose this may just be my weak spot for now. I've gotten a lot better than I was a year ago when I started driving in my own car. It does always feel great if I manage to nail a tight space in 1 try.

My examiner took me in a tight space meaning only 4 cars can only park on that residential area and there were already 2 cars parked and iam thr 3rd car to park..behind me its available ,just a car lenght. But as i aligned my car along with the car iam about to reverse to upon observation before reversing there was a red car (a driving instructor car with student) so i stopped! but that instructor car has stopped like waiting for me to carry on with my parallel parking .. as i start reversing and turn my wheel to the left (as im parking on left, ) looked around and stopped ( my car is positioned on a 1'oclock now..i saw the instructor red car parked on the only available spot .as its a tight parking space .im basically as a learner having my practical test that moment doing a pararell parking in between cars in a tight space. (I was expecting my examiner to ask me to just fine anotger spot to the my reversing, but he didnt and im nkt sure if he saw the red car parked on the last available space. I did my reversing anyway but i dont havr enough space to straightened my car as the space behind was tight. 😔 i had no minors but 1 serious bec of thr pararrel parking in a tighy space in between cars.

Hi Chris, am confused with the reference point @1:40 in this video as they are different to the reference points of using fron door pillar on your other reverse parallel parking videos.
@worlddriving2 жыл бұрын
Hi! You have to turn earlier if you want to park in a tighter gap. You can park within a 2 car length gap on the driving test so you don't have to turn in so early and potentially scare the examiner 😂
@alexandra38042 жыл бұрын
In another video you say to have the front/back of the other car disappear into the pillar of the front window. In this video is the pillar of the back window. Which one is it? Getting confused :(
@worlddriving2 жыл бұрын
This video shows parking into a tighter space which means that you have to do the first turn a little earlier. You don't have to park into such a tight gap (and potentially scare the examiner with getting really close to the parked car) on the driving test so you can do the first turn when the front / back is (roughly) at the door pillar.
@whitecupog44113 жыл бұрын

@L.C.Sweeney2 жыл бұрын
Either you're pulling up too close to the car in front or you're turning in too early, or both.
@mavihs262 жыл бұрын
@@L.C.Sweeney I haven't done much parallel parking but, I wasn''t lined up properly. I'm not sure if it was mentioned in this video or another but it seemed to fix my issue. Basically my car wasn't lined up correct in the sense the back of my car wasn't aligned to the back of the car to my side. My driving instructor never exactly taught me how to park a car just how to park his car if that makes sense. I used to line up my car wrong so no matter how I turn in im just likely to touch.
