Parallels at Sydney airport is quite rare I have also had a parallel takeoff at Sydney airport so I was in a Jetstar A320 and we were racing with and Air New Zealand 787

As a former Air Traffic Controller at San Francisco, where parallel takeoffs and parallel landings are the norm, I am going to call it a parallel takeoff. It is also a "side by" even though the the altitudes are different.

Dominic Nguyen Exactly right. They used to use the 747 on peak Sydney to Perth flights. Since, they all are 737 or A330's (with a few 767's creeping in there)

Quite something, to see how big a 767 looks from ground hugging 737. The 737 was designed low to the ground, for easy loading, and unloading of baggage. I am so surprised to see that A380 hanger so close to the passenger terminal, usually, I don't see that in the US. Did not expect to see a United 747-400 there. Liked and Favorited.

9:15 two Virgin Blue 737's, a Tiger A320 and a Regional Express Saab 340 (ex American Eagle). 9:27 a Virgin Blue E190, Qantas 767 VH-OGP and an old liver Qantas 747. After passing the Saab 340, there is a Virgin Australia 737-800 at 9:54. In the distance I see more Virgin Blue and Virgin Australia livery aircraft.

That's a normal take off of course it's parallel you're going up it's called a vertical take off if it is steap.
