The loops only need to be piecewise smooth, right? Otherwise the subgroup property of the holonomy group at around 1:24:00 isn´t obvious to me.

The Wilson loop is just another name for the holonomly around a closed curve.

Brilliant orator no less but I need a better foundation in basics to make any real headway at swallowing all the axioms, corollaries, postulates and theorems I may never get home for supper again... Injective is dual to surjective synthesizes bijective or isomorphism. Vertical is dual to horizontal, sine is dual to cosine or dual sine -- the word co means mutual and implies duality. Parallel transport or isomorphism implies duality, vectors are dual to co-vectors (forms)! "Always two there are" -- Yoda.
