I wasn’t familiar with Vagadeeshwari at all and not heard this krithi before. And I could sense a feeling of pain, longing for attainment and pure devotion. Later I did some digging around and realized that this was Thyagaraja swami’s last offering before he attained samadhi! What can I say ! Simply wow!! Your rendition simple exuded this so precisely that I didn’t even have to dissect the meaning of the lyrics. Nevertheless it was heartwarming to confirm the same. So soulful ! You truly are blessed Ramana Ji!! God bless you with more compositions and blissfulness.

Excellent rendition of paramAtmudu.. Would have been next level concert if the awesome mrudangam performance by Patri Satish Kumar was paired instead with kanjira instead of the noisy ghatam

Adding kanjira would have added the much desirable soft bass lower frequency sounds and would have paired real awesome with the madhyama sruti Veena and also the vAgadeeshwari itself has many lower sruti sanchAras. It is a pity that all the main players want ghatam which simply introduces cacaphony.

With all Humility .. Ramana is a wonderful Singer .. I would definitely attend his Vocal Concert if present.. And about his Veena playing prowess I am sure No comments required .. But this Mixing of vocal and Veena spoils the mood .. as it is , it spoils the vibe .. over that the need to switch Octaves makes it even less appealing .. My Humble request .. When you have Veena as your Voice , don't think anything else is needed.

Pls don't comment negatively if you don't understand 🙏. It is customary that these artists sometimes sing along with playing veena or sitar. Ramana's skills are superb and developing as he matures. He is still quite young. Just enjoy the journey...We are lucky to have a young talented soul like Ramana exploring the wonderful genre.

I really enjoyed his singing in between that I wait for @12:26 everytime. I just loved everything the way it is. He is transfixed and it shows. He is not singing for the audience but is in communion with the brahman. That's why this singer is unique and so pure.
