As a new EMT I adore this access to this type of programming even if all of its content is not relevant to my education

I experienced exactly the same as poor Lydia, only a few weeks ago. I fell in the snow and lay there with a broken femur for over an hour until the ambulance came. The pain was incredible! 😢

How wonderful that they called the unborn babies children. I was really moved by the paramedics concern and tenderness.🙂

My sister, her husband and their best friends just did a month trip over in Ireland, Scotland, and some of Europe she loved it!! Here I’ve always wanted to go over and see the little townships and villages along the way and while she was over there, I was in the hospital getting a double bypass surgery. I don’t consider myself old at 62 and she’s younger than me by three years. Oh well, some people get to have those kind of trips and some people just don’t. I just love it over there!!🥰🥰😍😍🩷🩷

Sometimes, the Scottish accent is a little hard to understand. But, I love it.😊😊

My dad was born and raised in Glasgow Scotland and he had a thick accent. When people would come over to the house to visit and they were Canadian born and if it was our friends, they would ask us what our dad just said and we would just repeat what my dad said. They would just look at us and say there’s no way your dad just said that and I said yes, that’s exactly what he said. And then I would question why can’t people understand my dad because I can and I was born in Canada, but it’s what you grow up to hearing. When he passed away in April 2012, I cried and cried because it was his accent, his voice that I missed so much. Then to our surprise, mom and dad‘s phone was packed up and when it went over to my sister‘s house, she listened to hear if there was any messages that were important since dad‘s death and here there was a phone call that my dad had with his friend that somehow was recorded in the messages. She asked if anybody wanted it and I said right away I would because nobody else wanted it and nobody else would and about once a year I listen to it to hear my dad‘s voice. How I loved talking to him about the Scottish history and I was the only one out of five kids that was interested in it. Two of my siblings now have taken trips over to Scotland and I think that’s great. 😊

Eleanor looks exactly like my grand mama. She sounds a little like her too... except grand mama is from Dumbarton but has lived in the US a long time.

Different cultures react differently. Whenever I have a hospital appointment I see Brits being über stoical, but that is the opposite in other cultures who always look like an opera singer about to die of consumption.
