First, we’ll show you how to use grasshopper 3d and rhino 3d to establish a 3d loft surface of a cylinder and use lunchbox grasshopper plugin to generate diamond or triangular panels on this surface and make some alterations to this diamond panels to generate a parametric facade that is inspired from snake's skin pattern over the surface, or basically a 3d parametric pattern, in grasshopper 3d that is called parametric modeling and parametric design.
Next, you’ll go through the grasshopper scripting process or grasshopper definition to manipulate these diamond panels by using Closest Geometry component which is a part of Peacock plugin of grashopper 3d and finalize with Parametric Facade Grasshopper surface, basically the surface that you can manipulate with number sliders.
