These series of tutorials are simply outstanding. There could be a set of these with all the definitions and work in the channel: Islamic patterns, Islamic patterns with point attractors, Islamic patterns with line attractors, basic technique of pattern formation, advanced Islamic pattern with Parakeet, Pattern projection to a sphere, a torus or a generated surfaces and of course more controlled deformation of the Islamic pattern.

What about adding thickness to those lines? If I give this for CNC cutting, it won't be possible as the thickness is only that of a line.

What would be a good way to make the 'array' of the octagon and the square in Grasshopper itself, in case we wanted to do it not in Rhino, or say have it parameterised to a certain wall size, which could change slightly ?

Thank u for this great tutorial, but i have a question how can we applicate this method to a a parametric patern like in u'r other video on how to make a muslim parametric patern, i've tried to merge the two videos but i strugle in the strep on putting a centroid to the polygone because in the first video it's just lines that we miror. hope i can have some explanation on how to do it. And can't tank u enough, great job keep on doing it.

explain how you did the polar array and snapped to the point that you created through the AreaCentroid command, please. it's frustrating!

Hey there! Beautiful work. Any way for me to get this on a curved surface (without flowalongsurface)?
@ParametricHouse6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kabir , because the pattern has a row/column nature you have to have a Nurbs surface and you can start with Isotrim

can we offset the lines? and use it with loft to make a flat thick surface of the pattern? as I am trying but the pattern is not joined t seems and the scale command is not working in this as we do in Voronoi. please help
