What I don't understand is how talented the band is and Annalise's voice is so powerful and brilliant and why they don't have millions and millions of followers. This band should be on the billboard top charts.

Because they mostly do cover songs. To top the charts you have to have your own original songs that are hits.

Just listened again, after watching the Paramore video. You do the song justice. I had never heard of Paramore, but because of you, I can appreciate the band. Kudos to IMY2!

I feel you with this. So many covers of IMY2 have introduced me to great music. In this case, I already was a fan of Paramore way before and Hayley Williams actually holds up in comparison, because she is so amazing. However, some orignal songs never feel quite as polished or interesting as the IMY2 covers. Sometimes because I heard their version first, which gives a natural bias, but also because Annalise outperforms some of the original singers. It is recorded and maybe they can polish it up a bit in post-production, but I'm comparing to studio tracks that work on a way higher budget so that is a moot point. Good example are the 'Creep' version or the more recent 'Good Riddance'. I love Thom Yorke or Billie Joe Armstrong, they bring the emotion and a bit of the rawness, but they don't have the beautiful clear sound and excellent phrasing of Annalise. Maybe its preference biased, but I think it is just better overall.

Didn't get the chance to comment on it when I first heard it, but this is yet a surprising but excellent choice. This is such a powerful rockballad, made great by the extremely clear, distinctive Hayley Williams vocals. I'm glad Annalise isn't afraid of trying her hand at this, both the music and vocals are as good as a cover can ever attempt to be, the bass, the guitars, the sweet buildup and the hard as f*ck high belting in the chorus. Even the nice instrumental overload on the amps at the end is a nice touch. Once again, I'm proud of you guys and what you can push out in terms of quality! Keep on rocking, you are playing exactly what I love to hear, I hope more will agree.
