I come back to this video almost every year at some point. I dont know why.. it just speaks to the younger parts of me that remember long summer nights, butterflies in my stomach, staying out with friends when we were all innocent and young. Yeah no they left at the end of 2010 right before the South America tour. Josh does leave because of his honeymoon for like a week but that’s it. They were okay until the beginning of 2010 that’s when the drama started again, they thought the album had fixed everything but something happened after airplanes was released

Watching this after Jeremy left... I know I'm gonna get bashed for this but I wish they would go back...I LOVED their new stuff though, don't get me wrong, but I just prefer this one :) I was just rewatching their old videos (2005-2009) and it just felt so... Raw, passionate, powerful... I wish they would stay like that. Haha sounds selfish I know, but one can only hope... This may sound like a long shot but I wish they would all play together again. Not go back to the band but just play for one show with all of their old songs, especially this one. It would be pretty emotional and magical I'm sure. I wish I knew Paramore when they were starting out. They gave me the passion for music that I could never find with other artists. One thing is for sure though, I may not be there since the start but I will be with them until the end :)

I know a lot of old school rock bands have done stuff like that and hopefully the original paramore does come back together and play the old schools songs. It sucks that the Farro brothers and now Jeremy left the band. I'm actually afraid now that the next paramore album (if there is any) will suck (not too sound negative or anything). Hopefully Hayley still keeps the familiarity of the sound of paramore that we all know and love.

@@otaviosmartins1 the songs are more “technically” better today - the parts more technically interesting… but Josh had a very very unique “sound” to his writing and playing and really defined the “Paramore sound” that everyone came to know and love with those first 3 records. Definitely feel like it’s two bands and there is plenty to appreciate about both iterations.

Gabriel Onell David They haven't played this song many times it's actually pretty rare. The only other electric version of this song I've found is from an (amazing) concert in Anaheim. Just watch that concert

Love love this I wish the Farros saw how much we miss them and yes no one ever said we only liked Hayley however there were times (if u look at some videos) where people only screamed Hayley. I think it has to do with the media kinda because they would sometimes call her and only her for like photo shoots and stuff but Josh and Zac we love you no matter what I come back to videos like these to see you guys because the two of you were the core of the band now paramore sounds different, and for me for my taste I need more if this, what I hear in this video love you guys

Is not like all attention goes to Hayley because she asks for it, is that every band has a leader, in this case a frontwoman, and is easier for the media to remember one face instead of five, but it doesn't mean she takes all the credit, she is just the face of it all. But I understand it must be frustrating sometimes, something hard to deal when everyone works equally hard, you want your recognition too.

Paramore used to have a distinctive sound, I used to hear a song and think this is definitely a Paramore, it was orginal, I loved that about them. But when the Farro brothers left there was no longer that sound that made them different. Its like they are now a completly different band not Paramore. It's okay to change, but not completly changing your essence. We don't mean to hate "the new Paramore" but there has been a drastic change in their music, not very pleasant for many of us.

They have been gradually changing there sound for a while, the Farro brothers leaving just made it more noticeable as they didn't have to contend with 5 peoples specifications instead of 3!! It will still be the same Taylor, Jeremy and Haley that we all adored when they were 5 so why does that have to change now they're 3?? XD

Generally when your band lineup changes, so does your music. Growing up and gaining new perspectives on life also does the same thing. Plus, Hayley in particular changed her vocal style because the way they used to do their music was extremely harmful for her voice. They also prior to becoming Paramore actually were involved in the funk scene, so New Wave and Funk Rock is technically how they first did music together.

That was the first song they wrote together. Prior to forming Paramore with Josh and Zac Farro, Hayley and Jeremy had a Funk Rock and New Wave band together with another guy called, "The Factory." Josh and Zac joined the band, and Paramore was born, but still hadn't gotten their new name yet. They then renamed themselves to Paramore after they learned the meeting of the word paramour (Zac was 12 and they were all kids.) They all did Funk and New Wave covers together to get by and played gigs that way, but Hayley, who was signed as a pop and R&B artist wanted to do alternative rock instead. They then wrote Conspiracy together, changed their name to Paramore, and begin writing their debut album. So yes, Funk Rock and New Wave is actually the origins of Paramore from the very get go. That was what they did together as a band before they released their first album.
