I'm 31 and decided to torture myself this morning with some extreme video nostalgia from my teenage years. Damn, we had it so good and didn't even know it. This was the video that officially made me crack lol, I'm sure younger people can appreciate this music too but damn the visuals like with the editing style, the distinct late 2000s riffs, Hayley's hair that was more iconic to the scene than words can describe, idk I feel I can smell the living room they are jamming/partying in. The bonfire smoke. I've lived these moments and I miss them, and especially the people I experienced them with. Nice to look back but also to appreciate the moments we have now

I love my life more now that I'm an adult - I can do whatever I want and be whoever I am without people telling me off. Also didn't really like school where I was spending most of my time. No, I think most people just have a filter on the good memories when they think about their teen years. Of course, there were things that you did that you wouldn't do anymore now, and for many those years were fun indeed, but your adult years can be just as much fun. For many people it is even better, if they can only let go of the "Oh no I'm getting old"-stuff once they reach their mid-20s... and I'm not only talking about the people who had it rough back then.

Back in 2007, when this song was released I was an young adult in my late 20's, far from being a teen. Paramore was noticeable but still a little under my radar (since it was so oriented to a teenage audience). Now, I'm Almost 40yo and when I listen to this it takes me waaaaayyy back, and I feel so much like a teen!!! Besides being an obvious hit, this song is great objectively as a rock song, and great because it takes me back to a simpler time. Gosh... I miss those days. Paramore was pretty good. I should've enjoyed it more.

I can't decide You have made it harder just to go on And why, all the possibilities well I was wrong That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating. And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. I wonder, how am I supposed to feel when you're not here. Cause I burned every bridge I ever built when you were here. I still try holding onto silly things, I never learn. Oh why, all the possibilities I'm sure you've heard. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating (beating) And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. Pain make your way to me, to me. And I'll always be just so inviting. If I ever start to think straight, This heart will start a riot in me, Let's start, start, hey! Why do we like to hurt so much? Oh why do we like to hurt so much? That's what you get when you let your heart win! Whoa. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. That's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa. Now I can't trust myself with anything but this, And that's what you get when you let your heart win, whoa

to tell you frankly i listen to this band for a decade without bothering to check the band members. THEN one day, i did and i mean no one can deny her beauty. when i did have the means to attend their concert in our country, i tell you her stage presence was LIT, even the band signature headbang still there even though they're like nearly 30s, she hitting the highest notes. it isn't just a FACE show. now, i dont think people follow them blindly, I MEAN when you listen to the song do you like always stare at the face lmao NO. & have you bothered checking the lyrics? she's a deep person and it shows on her lyrics

@Jean Sinclair yah i was right. u were hatin the girl cause u were cheering more for the band members. tell u what, if this was a male singer we wouldnt have this conversation.. if u knew a bit of their history, she was signed as solo artist but she chose to be in a band. and lets be honest, if people buy or listen to their songs cause the 'frontwoman is a crushie' isnt it a win2x for the band because it still translates to money.. the girl is vocal about her thoughts in socmed and they are all close friends and at peace with each other.. yah, im letting this rest cause my lunchbreak is over
