This video got me into paramotoring, I watched it the day it was uploaded and decided to take up the sport. I saved up for 6 months, bought the kit and did my training and now I fly at every opportunity and I love it! Still love this video too :)

Yes, the weathers a bit crappy here in the UK at the mo but I was out on it last weekend, making the move and learning to fly was the best thing I ever did, it's so damn fun!

You don't need a certificate to fly paramotors. You could learn from youtube if you wanted but that's not safe. Find good training and do it! I just finished mine. It's incredible!

Simple.....He does this for fun...Shows us what awesome activities we can do...and behind all that there is the fact that most of his videos are actually ads. If you look closely you can see that the majority of his videos are sponsored. This is his job...he actually has to make a living off it. Yes, typical cost is under $10,000 (Blackhawk Paramotors start around $6200) and training is usually around $1500 USD. You can easily be in the air, trained and ready to go for less than $10,000. There is no "certification" or "license" required to fly paramotors in the US, but we operate under FAR 103 (section 103 of the Federal Aviation Regulations) which governs Ultralights.

I highly recommend doing this. Learning is easy. I kited the wing on the first day and flew the next day. I have 80 hrs airtime now and love every minute of it. It's cheap too. $10,000 cad and your flying with all new gear. This is the best way to fly.

You're gonna get flamed for posting this comment, but I actually somewhat agree with you. Devin is portraying himself as a documentary filmmaker with a glidecam, that's it. Cool events + smooth shots + fun music WILL get old after awhile. If he mixes in some vids in a different format like his last crusades video, he can still show cool events but have it presented in a different way.

Ah, ok. Sucks about the crash. I'm just looking at getting into it actually. From what I've read online, 8-10 full days of trainings is highly suggested. In the USA there is an organization where pilots can get certified to be instructors. You still dont get or need a license, but at-least you know the person is somewhat qualified, lol. How did you crash? Lack of wind to help you get airborne?
