I was thinking: I will try this! Then I heard the word terrifying, and I'm not so sure.

It's the thermals that make it a little uncomfortable. But most paramotor pilots fly mornings and evenings to avoid those

@@MotoFlyGuy Thanks! I should have been more clear, I was thinking of flying my electric paramotor in a thermal to see how it is. I fly in the evenings for now. And free flight for three years. But with paramotors everyone is teriffied about midd day flyight and I'm not sure how much Of this fear comes from learning in schools to avoid it, just because they start directly with ppg and some don't have the time to learn also how to actively control the wing or is realy more dangerous than free flying during the day. Maybe is just unpleasant. Like I was flying my eppg at 10 am, the Sun already high enough and the wing was starting to move all over so I didn't like that..

@@Seneslau07@Seneslau07 ah. I had an sp140. Perfect for ridge soaring and thermaling. Yeah most paramotor pilots don't like the bumps. Looking for that butter air. Only difference I guess with the motor on your back is that the wing is more heavily loaded. That's why I use the atom 80. It's much lighter and I don't take much fuel. So it only weighs like 50lbs vs the moster at like 70 lbs.

@@MotoFlyGuy You're right! Mine is SP140 based also, not entirely and also 70lbs but that weight made me avoided after some flights so now I'm changing things and bring it down to 55lbs.
