I like this kind of video more than the others you do. I would rather learn something from a ppg video.

Another GREAT video! Thanks for showing this basic but CRITICAL maintenance piece! When I replace my gaskets I torque the motor after every flight for the 1st 5 flights or until the nuts are no longer loose when I check them. Then, I check them every other flight since it's so easy to do. Also, when I tighten them, I tighten them "kitty corner" just like you did in the video, instead of the one next to each other. This makes the seal set well. Keep making these great videos!! Larry from Naperville.

Very important to mention that you should only use a good torque wrench, the cheap ones are not good enough. I personally use it on almost all the bolts, it's a little more work but you are shure that everything is within specs. For engine bolts I would also use anti seize paste. Should the thread into an engine part gets damaged you can repair it easy and good with Helicoils. Sometime Helicoils are used by the factory because it makes a thread in aluminium a lot stronger. With maintenance I would also check (and replace after xxx hours) the reed valve. If that fails the engine will stall. It is also important that the engine is clean. Dirt between the cooling ribs will affect cooling a lot.

Lol! You would be amazed some of the questions we get. I wasn't a "motor guy" before I got into this sport. I feel like I'm at least "21 yrs old" now though after learning so much over the years ;) -Rob Whittaker, BlackHawk Marketing Team BLUE SKIES! I just don't mess with my motors and they last forever. When you start tweaking stuff and don't have experience, you get problems.
