Real paramotor skills are MUCH harder to learn than people think and that's in the perfect location with optimal conditions. Trying to train anywhere other than the perfect beach with wind all day just isn't happening. You simply can't gain the 25-60 HOURS of glider control that it takes to learn true and real skills. How do you kite without wind? Sooo many people make the terrible mistake of first looking for "local" training near them and it's a complete waste of time and money. To learn true and real skills built into reflexes it takes the best instruction AND the best location. Without enough wind the slightest bit of over correction and the glider stalls. Too much wind and you get drug and trying to train with gusty air and you get ripped off the ground and slammed into your face. Worse yet is getting slammed on your face in farmer joes plowed rocky field or in sticky muck on the great salt lake. Or do you want to fall down on the top of a mountain at some paragliding site and get drug through the rocks and weeds just trying to learn the basics? Yea that's why the beach is worth the plane ticket as it's much much nicer getting drug around in the nice soft sand than any other surface. When you realize what training really is you would tell anyone suggesting you go train with them inland to go screw themselves lol. Once you learn the skills then you can fly anywhere no problem as skill is skill but learning the skills the right way you absolutely want the very best possible location where you can get massive hours of practice and where getting drug around is as safe as possible.

I own that I always comment early, mainly because I am a grown ass man but more importantly your videos draw me in from beginning to end. I might be incorrect, but the guy at 2: 02 really makes me think of other videos you had on oscillation. Learning the muscle memory on the ground to control before ever launching! mad respect. Thanks for another great video.

When learning as a novice it is harder than you might think just looking at YT clips! That was also with a small ground handling training wing, just think how difficult it would be with a full size wing!! Thanks for posting Dell.

Yes very very true because the vast majority out there only show what it looks like for a few seconds when people get lucky to have it above them. If people don't understand just how hard it is to do it correctly I hope they will then understand the value of the absolute best training in the world in the absolute best possible location.

Dell, we need to build a big fan to make a steady 6 knot wind, then you could teach kite skills where ever you are. I'm in okla, there's tons of natural gas that these oil and gas company's just vent off in the atmosphere, I'm trying to figure out how to harness this unused gas to help better our farm and avaition. Anyways, I was wondering if you could FaceTime any training over via world wide web.?

It's been thought about many times. Instead of a fan blowing though you would want to suck the air through a building. Should get smoother flow that way.

Not once did you ask them to step under the wing ... Your saying to them don't move when their wing is off to the side ... All your students are glued to the floor...

Yes that's correct with that amount of wind. If you move towards the glider when it's on the ground it will unload and you will lose control. You have to keep a constant load on the glider. Turn, walk, pull. Once the glider is loaded they will move at a 45 degree angle back into the wing and partially under the glider. This was day one just barely starting out. Just watch any SUPER students later on in their training and they can do what most others acting as instructors can't even do. When you get the best training in the world the results are incredible. You should come get training so we can get your skills totally rocking.
