I was exhausted just watching the engine fail sequence. Your choice of music was totally in point! Totally my vibe!

Great stuff. Proper mini adventure with a bit of adversity thrown in. 👍 Oh - and 'rocky' is a key Paranoob word. Stick with it! 🤣

Great vid Paul, I like the way you 'tell it like it is' warts and all, which a lot of others omit... Also spotting you're field is a lot harder than most pilots think even when you are right over it ;-) Well done Sir!

Great video, glad you got started and back safely. Quite impressed with the speeds you can achieve and having watched Giles's recent upload its interesting his opinion on both paramotoring and sub70kg. Ive been up to meet Simon at Membury, sounds like a decent chap, could be about to start paramotor training. Would appreciate any tips, thanks again for sharing your adventures
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
He is indeed a decent chap, you'll be in very good hands.. Off the top of my head, tips... Don't buy any gear yet, listen to Col, pull on the high side and stay under the logo. :)

I had a pull start fiasco last week, although I wasn’t landed out. Pulled on the starter for about 5 minutes then someone came over and told me I still had my “remove before flight” air box, exhaust and breather hose bungs still in 🙄 good to see you’ve been having fun 👍

Might wanna to check you valve clearances when 4 stroke become hard to start its normally down to the clearances and might need reshimming
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
Yep, they must be due a check. Think this was a flooding issue though.

I was getting out of breath for you when you couldn't get it started!! Looked like a great flight though :)
@xncc17014 жыл бұрын
Nothing like an engine that won't restart to add to the adventure! So if after maybe 4 pulls it won't start then it's flooded. To cure simply hold the throttle fully open and then pull, usually starts at 3 or 4 pulls.
@PARANOOB4 жыл бұрын
How does fully-open help? Surely that's giving it even more fuel? Thank you AGAIN! :)

Full throttle opens the intake air passage to compensate for the high fuel level (flooding), but requires caution with over-speeding...pleased with your outcome and take you for sharing (love your accent, don’t hear it enough here in Seattle)!

Para, I think you said you might becoming to the States. If you're coming to Florida, you can stay at my house. I just built a nice roomy barn that doubles as a nice cabin. Food & accommodation FREE. Look up Tallahassee, Florida. I'm about 25 miles south of that city & 20 more miles to the beaches & the Gulf of Mexico. This is a serious offer! No B.S. Stay as long as you like. If needed, you can use my car to see other parts of Florida if you like. Just pay for gas...now about $2.10 per gallon. Liters???
