My mum grew up in a Victorian haunted house in London. Lots of weird stuff happened over the years. The main spirit was a women in victorian mourning dress. She haunted the corridor outside what used to be a nursery. She would appear now and again with a very white face and a soundless scream. The family wondered if she had lost a child. Two aunts also saw a man in Edwardian style clothing, standing at the foot of their beds, with his pants drapped over his arm, starring into the distance. He would fade away after a while. My grandfather refused to allow a seance and told them all to ignore any ghosts and say a prayer. They had the house for over forty years. Sadly it was demolished in the late 70's to make way for social housing. Thanks for sharing.

I stepped out the back door to wave to my neighbor and a voice told me to go see about the children. My two babies, 3 months and 18 months, shared a room. My 18 mo had climbed out of his crib, across a low shelf between their two cribs, and in to his sister's crib. He was sitting on her chest! She was red-faced and struggling. I don't question when I get those 'voices' any more.

When I was 15 years old back in 1994, I was laying in my bedroom at night as there was moonlight shining through my window. The next thing I knew, shadow like people were climbing into my window, one after the other in the moonlight, even having to lift their legs up and over my window sill. The shadows did this until they lined up all around my bed, shoulder to shoulder, looking down at me. It was dark, but I could see some in the moonlight, I could see some were men wearing Indian head dresses, some were men wearing wide brimmed hats and some were women wearing dresses like from little house on the prairie. I couldn’t see any features, they were just like outlines. They never said anything, and I was frozen as I lay there. Before I knew it, like they came in, they left one by one out my bedroom window in the moonlight. I remember the women having to hold their dresses up as they lifted their leg to climb out. Never had any experience like that since. It was in the 90’s years before I ever heard about the world wide phenomenon of “shadow people.” I can’t explain it, but when I found out about shadow people, I was floored. Thanks for listening.

Hi everyone. I made this film 13 years ago for a college project. It's fun to see it reaching an audience all these years later! You've inspired me to get back in the saddle and make some more documentary content. I've got a pretty good idea of what my next film will be about, but I'd appreciate any feedback from you folks going into future projects. Would it be better to focus on just one story per video? Or maybe multiple stories about one area or town? If you know of any compelling ghost stories or legends (particularly in the Pacific Northwest where I now live) I'd love to hear those too!

I'm surprised that this hasn't gotten more likes in the years since it was posted. This kind of understated telling of seemingly personal experiences, with no overblown special effects, has long been my favorite way of experiencing ghost stories, either fictional or the strange-but-true sort. These just have a believable ring to them and feel like authentic retellings.

I know how everyone felt. I'm a shaman with psychic abilities. When I was little, I would see or know that the places we lived have other things living with us. Even now I would still have dreams of those places as if my spirit never left those places. It makes me wonder if I need to go back to those places and do a spiritual cleansing so the souls trap there can move on.

When I was young are pretty much whole family lived in a old Big 2 story house that was used a civil war hospital the guy they got the house from said probably why it so cheap my grand parents there 5 kids and only 3 grandkids , they started seeing a woman in a long white dress she wore these black shoes with buckle on them , my mom seen her in the cellar my aunt saw her leaning over my uncle's bed stare out the window , she never did anything malicious or tear shit up when my mom's boyfriend stayed there for whatever reason she didn't like him One day every one was out we came back and she took his picture off mom dresser and it had to go out of the room go right down the hallway then turn and go down the stairs and Looks like some one took pen with no ink and tried scratch out his face he got scared and moved out grandma said that she was protective of the kids she said she didn't like him because he brought drugs in the house , one day there was a knock at the door me my 2 cousins went to answer the door and she was just standing there this women with long white dress I don't remember but my cousin few years older than us remember what she looks like I guess we to little to be scared but we told the adults they went and checked and nobody there , they never they never tried to find out if they could find out who she was they seem to think maybe like a nurse or maybe she got caught in some cross fire of a battle and she was brought there and died maybe or that was her house and got killed by a stray round or something but grandma said she was protective of the them she never bothered anyone but she said there was a few people she didn't like for whatever reason and would let them know she wanted them out to bad the house got bulldozed few years after everyone left Mom my aunt's and uncle said they seen her few times but we're never scared of her, this happened Fredrick county Virginia area they never did any investigate try to find out who she was or what happened to here , I understand why people don't believe ghost and paranormal stuff it's something you have to experience for your self when it does happen make the hair on your neck standup , what ever this phenomenon is it is real just because it doesn't happen on command doesn't mean it's not real, skeptic like to say it just your mind playing tricks on you your brain is just filling in the gap and it's more or less a Hallucinations and your brain being program because you have told a place haunted so everything you hear see are paranormal stuff but how do you explain some one Knocking on a door every one hears it you can see the door move from being knocked on but you open the door nothing it's never like the movie and tv shows these scary ghost monster coming after people there normally just shadow and dismbody voice and sounds stuff move around some how eventually you run out of rational ideas for causes of it

As the guy was telling of his experiences in the room as a young boy, I couldn’t help but think that children are much more apt to see something paranormal because they haven’t fully been taught not to see them. As they get older and are told over and over that what they’re seeing isn’t real, doesn’t exist, etc, I believe that is when most children lose the ability to see.
@karistone12973 жыл бұрын
K Graham, yes my daughter used to see a ghost child in our home, from the time she was about two. I tried to dismiss it so she wouldnt be scared but she was insistent about seeing this little boy. She used to draw pictures of 'Spooky' as she called him, when she got older. Even after we moved when she was 5 or 6, she used to see 'spirits' in the sky, and once when she said they were following our car....After that time, she stopped talking about it.

I saw a few scary things as a kid, under 8 years old. Not after or again, although I have had paranormal experiences. I think the ability to "see" left me as I became conditioned to this world and shared perception. As kids we are closer to the "source". Not far removed from the other side.

I could somewhat relate to the man who revisited his old room. I grew up in a haunted house and my bedroom had the most activity. Saw things and was once actually rushed and knocked to the floor by what I later discovered was probably a demon. I didn't know what a demon was at 9 yrs. old. The people who lived in the house after my family reported the same haunting activity. I also related to the man when he mentioned he still has an emotional connection to the house. I was and in some way, still am emotionally attached to that house, even nearly 50 years later. It was beautiful during the day but terrifying at night. I sometimes have dreams of returning to that house and feeling like I'm finally home.

Familiar with Bryn Athyn, and we played around the cathedral and park as teens. The cathedral itself is very gothic. The Pitcairn family, - who founded this sect of Christianity -- the original mansion is close by. The Pitcairns were rumored to interbreed, and the joke was if you looked up at the top windows of the mansion you can see a deformed figure staring out. Who knows what spooks wander those grounds.

Well it seems to me the things that can't be made out like the black figure could be an interdimensional being of some sort from a higher dimension that's why you see it flickering in and out and why you can't make out what it is just like if a 3D person with the poke their hand into a 2D world they'd only see a bump or a circle or some shit
