I was thinking that too as Gabriel could have easily killed the Investigator. But he scared him off as a way to protect him as Afton was walking up towards the building. We do that in IRL too as some people wont listen and we need to yell at them to get it through thier heads.

Yeah, I know I realize that 😅 it was sad that he died, The reporter sad that the reporter died. Gabriel was just trying to help and the reporter didn’t make it as soon as I realize that’s why he was trying to scare the reporter away, so William wouldn’t get him it was too late. I heard a shot or something. Then I heard the sound of William caulking the shotgun That was one of the first times I wasn’t scared at the end of one of these videos I was actually sad😢

Gabriel’s silence after the muffled door shutting in the background is chilling but wholesome. Gabriel realizes someone else entered the building and he wanted to help the Reporter telling him to get out so that he doesn’t suffer the same consequences the other children have, Even if it meant, having to scare him away to get out, it’s pretty sweet in a scary way

I always thought the fnaf animatronics were actual good guys, they’re only kids. They only attack you because they mistake you for William (not to mention canonically in Fnaf Mike is purple due to the scooper so it makes sense since they were killed long time ago and their memory is probably and bit blurry), unlike other animatronics they only really want William to die. I like that his VHS looks into that (even in one of the Fnaf 2 minigames Foxy tries to save a bunch of kids from ending up like them yet it’s too late)

Kinda wholesome yet also heartbreaking when you realize Gabriel wasn't actually trying to kill him but rather chase him out in a desperate attempt to save him from William, which was unfortunately too late in the end. Also note how Gabriel stops chasing Sean, he would've absolutely reached him if he continued chasing.

I love the response when the investigator asks who was the person who murdered him and Gabriel response with “him”. I love this because it’s one of those responses that’s so simple but holds so much meaning. I watched this video four times and each time it became more dawning with the ending, when Gabriel said “him” he wasn’t using current tense because he was being cryptic he was using current tense because there was someone who was there I.E William who shot the investigator. I like the small detail which I don’t know if it was intentional to be seen this way but Gabriel stopped chasing because he wasn’t the actual threat of course it was to get them out of the room but it seemed like he was trying to warn him of William.

That brings in the question...why was William even there? Was this at the time where Henry and William were still friends (FNAF lore is weird so I don't know when they fell apart)? If Henry and William weren't friends did William just decide to roll up for no reason? At 11:24 I always thought that when Sean sees something, we (the viewers) aren't meant to see what he sees since it's really dark. But if you playback the video and look closely at the window, you can see someone (presumably William Afton) quickly duck down as Sean turns around. Gave me chills tbh.

I loved the way Freddy moved here. Is not fluid walking animation or sprinting, just the flickering of he's music box light as he getting closer and closer, which is more horrifying (reminds me of the much of the weeping angels) And also, thinking about it now after watching the ending, the way Freddy says "get out" doesn't sound like a threat, but a warning.

Genuinely some of the most realistic, well fleshed-out series of videos I have EVER seen. There quite frankly has never been something of this high quality in the franchise in ages it seems. Everything from the voice acting to the visuals, to even the sense of space the sounds have in each room. There really is quite nothing like this. Seriously when I say this is what I've been waiting for, I mean it. Nothing embodies the horror of fnaf better than what you've done. The biggest thing I love with FNAF fan content is new attention to the actual kids that were murdered. Making the kids feel like real people really puts back into perspective just how messed up everything is. With all the new animatronics, the body count doesn't feel like a real tragedy and just a meaningless number. Everything feels less grounded and horrific.

My theory on the ending. I think Gabriel was trying to warn Sean. He referred to William as ‘him’, because of his nearby presence. Honestly in my opinion this is one of the best interpretations of the animatronics and the location, in fnaf media. It's honestly really heart wrenching, and there's so much attention to detail along with incredible voice acting. It would be amazing to see maybe an alternate universe where Sean continues his investigation but maybe runs into some barriers through Fazbear Entertainment, the police possibly not believing him, and Afton himself. I'd say an interesting take is maybe Sean takes a job as the night guard to continue interacting with the spirits and he fights an uphill battle to free their souls as well as stop Afton for good.

Normally when someone gets killed during a paranormal investigation in horror media, I don't feel bad because well what did you expect? But here, Sean could never have known that a man would follow him to the building and kill him during an investigation. It made me feel bad for him. It also made me like the spirits even more because they killed no innocents here and Gabriel actually tried to save Sean. Also, what a great way to subvert expectations. I thought there was no way the spirits would just cooperate with him and not kill him. And when Freddy starting chasing Sean I thought "Yup this is the payoff, I've seen this before" but then I heard the gunshot and the man's legs step into frame and I yelled "Holy shit!" This went from a cool interpretation of FNAF to an incredible one. Well done to everyone involved with this project!

This was so well done! The little detailed in the movement and behavior, for example when he opened the entrance door he had to put down something in order to open it, And when climbing out in the end it actually felt like he put one leg over and then the other. The way he talked to the camera and the way he asked the questions was so realistic, something I’ve barely seen before! In most VHS videos the movement and the voice lines are so obviously fake robotic, most characters act weird and unrealistic. Very nicely done!

Something else that came to mind is how maybe the spirits were fine with Sean, in terms of not trying to kill him, because he wasn't wearing anything purple, I assume anyway. I'm so glad to finally see someone actually try and have paranormal investigators in the series, since FNAF 3 confirms that paranormal enthusiasts absolutely know about Fazbear's (to the point that it's achieved urban legend status by the 2020s in canon). I generally really don't like it when they talk too much, cause either the voice acting is bad/dialogue is hella cheesy, or they don't have a good reason to be talking. I'm like "bro why are you talking to yourself, you're all alone", it breaks the inmersion. But here it's very well done; and makes sense, since he's recording a log. Also, it reminds us that these are, in fact, kids. Innocent kids who were brutally murdered. Which sometimes it feels like FNaF has forgotten about. Amazing job, just fantastic. One of the best VHS out there. Sometimes a great story with a great protagonist beats the horror that most VHS follow. It was so interesting to see how the children didn't want to harm Sean, in fact, Gabriel must have heard the door from afar and he probably wanted to make the guard leave since he knew Afton was inside and close. He actually tried to protect him. It's such a shame he died, I would have loved to see him in part 2 if it ever comes. Anyways, one of the best VHS tapes out there, and i'm not kidding!

I love the ideas posed in the intro that, while yes, sometimes the animatronics are hostile in some locations, there's also just general paranormal stuff. Voices, hallucinations, lingering emotions, apparitions of the children simply wandering around, and so forth. Also very nice is the idea that the animatronics, while roaming at night, often truly do just.. wander. They'll look around somewhat aimlessly. Also, I quite like the way you've taken inspiration from but not copied 'Paranormal Report', being a popular video in a similar theme and concept. This stuff is truly great. For the video's content: The main character seems a bit surprised by all the paranormal stuff for a paranormal investigator. I'm not going to say his rather loose mouth around children is a big issue (in his line of work, definitely not, and I'm sure the staff and parents do plenty of it during the day too), but stuff like the door opening he had a bit of a strong reaction to. Apparitions or intentionally startling stuff - like jumping when the door slams, or the 'head around the corner' part are more justifying of a strong reaction. A slightly more questioning tone than surprised, like he's used to it even if it's somewhat unexpected, might be more fitting towards the lighter stuff, although that is not saying if one of the spirits is intentionally getting him on edge. He did also talk in a bit of a confrontative tone, but given he's dealing with potentially intentionally mischievous spirits, fair enough I suppose. Though I will never understand these investigators not trying to salvage a situation. Particularly when dealing with children, pushing back like that is sort of a good way to close them off - if he'd listened to Gabriel, maybe offered to come back later when he'd calmed down but made it clear Gabriel can refuse to communicate if he wishes to, then perhaps he would've avoided the final chase altogether. That said, some details, such as the flinches at some of what Gabriel says, are toned perfectly, even if overall the investigator is a little too on-edge. Though, we don't know his life story and he could've had a harmful poltergeist or two in his experience that might've made him a bit warier of presences like that. Overall, this was amazing! I loved the way you portrayed the spirits - Susie being somewhat friendly and talkative, particularly since she doesn't get much simple talking with new people anymore; who I imagine might've been the spirit in Foxy due to the whole light sensitivity thing being more withdrawn; and of course Gabriel's horrifying interview, which while nice at first quickly deteriorated at the mention of the yellow rabbit - though, unfortunately, our investigator didn't get notified that the particular rabbit was yellow, and Bonnie's seeming silence might be considered to be telling even if he's not a suit at all. And, of course, the roaming spirit, which I suppose might be Cassidy? Or even another missing child without a suit at all. Anyways, Gabriel's manipulation of the voice for the responses was chilling at the end. Very interesting details. I notice that, given this is the not-quite-salvaged Withered animatronics, this is set before Maintenance Report and The Salvage, which is quite nice, and this event might even be the reason for that fourth paragraph in the latter video. Very interested as well in the person at the end, who moved too calmly to be the investigator, particularly after a fall like that. I imagine he, and not the spirits, was the one to lock the door, and might perhaps be the killer himself? William Afton _was_ the owner in the original lore... something to think about. Anyways, I also loved the little detail as well that, after the door was locked, he simply immediately turned to the window. Simple, rational thoughts we don't always see from horror product characters of any sort. Excited for the Foxy tape that's likely to follow, that one will whenever and wherever it happens be a rather terrifying series of events for whoever is unfortunate enough to be in there with him.

For anyone confused the Freddy was yelling "GET OUT" because his murderer was standing in the corner of the room He entered the room around 18:02 Only to be scared off (by Gabriel) into the general location where the investigator was once he heard windows shattering he racked his pump shotgun and shot the investigator

I like that this takes advantage of the ghost aspect of the lore by making the pizzeria more like a haunted location with doors opening and such rather than the paranormal stuff being restricted to the animatronics themselves.

This is literally exactly what i want from fnaf. a sort of combo of phasmophobia and fnaf in a first person pov with slightly random yet story-based events. this was masterfully done and was so painfully real that it legitimately saddened me at the end.

Wow! Does Gabriel have some anger issues or was he just trying to scare him away so he could escape with the evidence, as I don't think the guy picking up the camera at the end was the investigator. It's too calm and collected to be him, as he probably had a lot of adrenaline after supposedly breaking the door down. Maybe Gabriel was trying to protect him from the real threat. William Afton could possibly have been the man who picked the camera up. I'm also guesing that the child sitting on the chair and the thing that ran into the bathroom was the spirit of the child inside Foxy, since Foxy hates the light and is known for his running. But the child sitting on the chair could possibly be the child inside Bonnie since in Ultimate Custom Night, Bonnie doesn't like to be seen in Pirate's Cove, implying Bonnie's shy and the child on the chair seems to be shy as well.

I think I can agree with Genos that it was a bit of both, it was to both scare him out, but he was also going to attack him, probably out of anger since spirits can be angered regardless of if they seemed nice at first. You can even hear Freddy yell "GET OUT!!" throughout the screaming, implying Gabriel really wanted him out, probably by both being triggered about the guy in a bunny suit and can sense William Afton coming in. As to what happened to the investigator, I think Afton did get him since if Freddy had gotten him, the investigator would've screamed for his life. But it seems here that he simply got knocked out and presumably killed by Afton.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more intriguing FNAF VHS tape video or series than this, ever in my life. And I’ve seen a lot. The whole Spirit Box thing was EXPERTLY done and it felt like actual spirits were talking through it. Especially near the end where Gabriel says “no. too dark.” and changes the spirit box tones while saying “Get out.” The whole thing was amazing and you’ve earned a new Subscriber. Also, big props to the Voice Actor. He really made this whole thing feel real.

One thing I know is, the children never mean to hurt anyone, example: Gabriel scared and chased the guy out because William was in the building. Sadly he faced the same fate and was killed.
