Man the arcade I had growing up was so bomb - it had ddr, a bunch of them, many versions, para para, drum mania, keyboard mania, dj mania, samba de amigo, taiko drummaster - it had everything a rhythm game fan could want & more I'm sure I'm overlooking - this was every single weekend growing up for YEARS - I met so many friends (and boyfriends lol) there at that arcade & always danced my ass off - gawd I miss that - that arcade closed down a long time ago & took a piece of me with it for sure. I don't think it gets better in life than one of those nights at the arcade playing these games with my friends. Peak fun 💯

an amazing game. Kinect had a game that was like ParaPara, however, they didn't market it specifically as a ParaPara game which they should have. People think they know what will be popular in the United States and they let the ParaPara craze blow right over our heads in America...quite sad.

Wow. That's funny. I once saw a person in the arcade and they were stomping on the arrow graphics not knowing the moves are recorded via infrared. It is a shame, but ParaPara was never recognized in the US. You could only see this at anime conventions and arcades.

I really love this game. I played it a few times at a gaming convention. My favorite songs from PPP is yesterday and Sara. Sadly, the game, and the para para dancing style, is not popular anymore. Even when i studied abroad in Japan a few years ago, it was nowhere to be found. Dance Evolution does have a few songs from this game. It also incorporates some para para moves in the routine. I would recommend it if someone wants to play something that is similar to this, but a lot more recent.

I can't agree more with you on the kinect game. When Konami made Dance Evolution/Masters, they should have made another kinect game specifically for ParaPara. (such a missed opportunity in my opinion)

Konami has missed many oppirtunities with all the Bemani franchises ever since 2006 with their avoidance to take risks.

If the arcade could get it, there would be a TV next to the arcade game where it show the videos of the ParaPara All Stars dancing. . . I think. It only seems that in the console version you can select the PPA as the background video.

i'm pretty sure tha game is in 60fps. since youtube now supports 60fps, do u plan 2 do a gameplay of it again but with 60fps? (60fps is only supported in 720p or higher for youtube sadly)

This was played on an actual PS2. I'm not sure which emulator would support the controller.

Don't knock it 'til you try it. See if there is an arcade in your area with it. There is one near me and it's pretty fun to play.
