When I saw frayed rope at beginning,oh !oh!.In military we verified each rope before using if there was the slightest fray ,it was scrapped for certain uses.This is gross negligence.

Ropes are used a lot a steel cable is actually not as safe. They obviously do not inspect the ropes or the boats in New Jersey they have strict rules that you must inspect the parasail the rope the boat. Ropes are used but somebody should be on it just in case they have to real you in

I'm just happy you guys are okay and not hurt we were just in Labadee Haiti they had so many excursions parasailing was one of them I said to myself I don't think so I have big trust issues after watching this video and then again bite your lip and go for it

It actually did slingshot us a bit higher before we stalled. You have a moment of weightlessness as you stall before coming crashing down. 10 out of 10, loved it.

The parasail quickly loses momentum when no longer attached to the boat and will fall rather quickly towards the surface of the water, but it is still a parachute, you're not gonna' just terminal velocity into the water like a brick. The falling is the safest part, its if the wind decides to rip up your sail when your on the surface of the water is when it becomes truly dangerous. Which is why you should declip from the chute ASAP once in the water, you'll be wearing a life jacket so you'll just have to float there until the boat turns around to pick you back up.

Until the end, it was fairly boring honestly. The rope breaking totally made the experience worth it; I wouldn’t do it again unless it was GUARANTEED the rope would break again.

Yep frayed ropes do snap. I used to own and operate a winch boat in Turkey, Greece and on the east coast of the USA. People would not believe the happenings I had LoL not just parachute and boat near misses but dealing with the Turkish navy working a British built boat in Turkish waters and also All the happenings with USA authorities while operating an illegal boat in US waters LoL It’s a book waiting to happen, that people would find hard to believe, bartering with DMV for a commercial license to operate etc etc and the list goes on LMAO ...........The Parachute Pirate :))

Absolutely, would highly recommend it. Parasailing is pretty boring, just a 10 minute wedgie, but once the rope broke it was the highlight of the vacation.

We crashed down hard but it was fine. The sail caught wind again after we hit and drug us around the ocean for a bit before the boat caught up to us, but I’d do it all again.
