Of all the characters in the story, Yosef alone is called 'HaTzadik'. He is not only righteous by saying Hashem gives him the interpretation of dreams but righteous in breaking the cycle of violence and anger when the brothers threw him into a pit and sold him as a slave. The ability to recognize wrong-doing but refuse to perpetuate it is truly the mark of a righteous person. In this decision of reconciliation, Yehuda is the catalyst.
