Parasitized alfalfa looper - Alberta canoLAB 2013

This video shows Cotesia vanessae (a parasitic wasp) emerging from an alfalfa looper. The wasp is a beneficial insect that also has an effect on some species of cutworms.
This demonstration was part of a recent canoLAB held in Alberta. canoLAB was an indoor diagnostic event hosted by the Alberta Canola Producers Commission and the Canola Council of Canada.
