as someone who's actually been stalked, this game captures the terror of the experience extremely well. the only thing it doesn't show is the aftereffects it leaves you with; fear of being alone for even brief moments, fear of people getting too close/friendly, even if youve known them for years. no clue if it's just because of some mental health thing but sometimes i get hallucinations about it, too. figures in the corners of my eyes, hands reaching out. i played the minecraft from the fog mod a while ago but had to stop since it was essentially kind of reaffirming those hallucinations too, even though it was just a game. can't even go to therapists about it either since i don't know if i can trust them (both because of the stalking but also because of previous therapists breaching confidentiality when i was a kid and telling my parents things.) after something like being stalked, it really leaves deep lasting scars that just never go away.

One of my favorite things about Chilla’s art games is how they showcase women’s experiences, especially to men/people who may not have been mindful of them previously. The majority of lets plays are from men, who, more often than not, are experiencing other men in these games being super creepy to them for the first time. And it always surprises me how many of them realize through that interaction that they don’t enjoy being talked to that way. Not that this was what happened in this particular let’s play, I just appreciated you calling attention to this concept at the end, and I also hope that men (and everyone) can learn something from playing these.

This and the bathhouse are the best chillas arts games personally. Although the dream sequence thing is something you would put at the end of your crappy 7th grade essay, I think it works well here by disorienting you, and making you wonder what happened and what didn't. I would love to see a playthrough of Killer Frequency! It's a story based, 9/11 simulator where you play as a radio host who has to save the town from a serial killer. it's a rather lighthearted game at times, but it's incredibly charming with all its various characters

I didn't realize until I watched our stream that every step of the way it hints someone is in the house hiding out throughout. - The door is locked because the man is inside - the tv comes on because the remote is knocked onto the floor by the intruder - the uher eats guy is distracting you as the intruder gets away The phone rings, bell rings to distract. I personally think chiller learnt from the Fears to Fathom guys who are masters at this type of hiding in plain sight kinda horror.

The scariest thing about these situations is the fact police only act once the victim is in the hospital from an attack or dead. You should check out Aka Manto. It's one of their older games and it's an atmospheric survival horror game. It's super hard to beat and really scary.

I've been stalked several times irl and this is very acturate to how I felt every day. Many times cops don't do shit. It can make you feel helpless, paranoid, suffocated, isolated and angry. Even if you have good intentions towards your crush, it's incredibly selfish to force them into your life if they don't want to. People can't save you from your problems; Only you can yourself. While Chilla has made games which are definitely scarier, such as the last one you covered, this was seriously compelling as a narrative. The protagonist felt pretty convincing as a character (by video-game standards), and it really embodied more real-life fears. The references to other games are really great too.

Yeah, V Tubers tend to hide their real selves and just present online as their avatars. It’s also used as a layer of protection from potential stalkers. As soon as the fans game is finished the chat explodes with people reacting to the “face reveal”. I agree the zoom in on the camera was too much, but when I saw the chat going wild about it my heart froze. Definitely made by the fan to disable her filter so he would know what she looks like.
