I'm 100% positive this was the route for me to go, but then I saw a 39mm seal driver on Amazon with overnight shipping, so my flesh got weak.

What size thickness pvc pipe?

Dont know but maximum 3mm but i am sure it is even less

Why do you need the second tube on top?

Mario Rossi You need to hammer the seal down pretty hard and you shouldnt damage the seal while hammering. If you use just one tube then you will be hammering on the soft part of the seal and damage it. The second tube lets you to reach the outer rim of the seal. That part of the seal is hard so you can hammer on it

yea electrical tape works also but i just wanted to try a more solid way

How did you cut the tubing?

heat gun and a sharp knife worked the fastest and cleanest for me. I heat the knife and then it cut the pvc like butter. You can also heat the pvc to make it softer. But dont heat it too much because it will loose its shape after some point. I tried using hand saw and jigsaw but it creates so much pvc dust and you cant cut cleanly. jigsaw even broke the pvc a couple of times since it is rather hard when it is at room temperature.
