@@user-ux5wh4qj1h no but since Daft Punk produced their debut EP, which I think was a reminiscent of Daft Punk funk songs, the Parcels have been moving away from their "electronic side". Since all the latest remixes of Parcels songs sound so nice (The Reflex remix for example), they found their way back to electronic music, which for me personally is a good thing. Seen them live last year. Was a blast 🪩❤️

@@bitbe6152 you have wrong information, Daft Punk produced only Overnight single. Their debut Clockscared EP they produced themselves, watch interviews. This EP is not on Spotify tho is mentioned in wiki, u can find it on Yt. The initial Parcels sound was far from that of Overnight, have a listen. However they made really great songs released on it I like very much: Anotherclock, Clockscared, Loretta etc. Dig it, u won't regret. Parcels doesn't mean Daft Punk only. I love pre-DP era very much. I think the role of DP is great but don't overstate it, Parcels was great before DP collab, but for it DP would've worked with Parcels.

@@bitbe6152 you're wrong, DP produced only Overnight single. Their first EP was Clockscared 2015 which they produced themselves. A great one, dig Anotherclock or Clockscared! It's on Yt only, not on Spotify. That was great electro without any DP and didn't resemble DP. If Parcels weren't talented DP wouldn't have collaborated with them.

I loved parcels volume 1, and I also really love parcels volume 2. after listening to volume 1 I made up my mind that they are beatles-tier musicians and songwriters. volume 2 I also love, and would listen in an entirely different setting and vibe than vol 1. house/techno music is really cool and meant for a different setting. I think it is exceptionally hard to do as a live band (as opposed to a DJ). this album further showcases their incredible musical skill, their ability to produce and sound engineer, and their adaptability and appreciation of multiple genres. there are very few other groups that have ever done what parcels has done in creating live vol 1 and vol 2. I think it's f*cking awesome.

Как мне кажется подобные "песни" появились в арсенале Посылок не случайно. Видимо они решили, что эскапизм - это то, что нужно сейчас людям и резко сменили направление на техно/хаус. Люди в большинстве не поняли этого маневра. Наоборот, во времена хаоса и нестабильности хочется чего-то старого-доброго, устойчивого и стабильного. Люди готовы смотреть в глаза проблемам, готовы слушать грустные песни, если они правдивы и эмоциональны. Только не все готовы и осмеливаются такое играть.

Some musicians should keep themselves far from books like Portrait of Dorian Gray until they learn to distinguish good from bad. They understand Lord Henry's hedonistic ideas like "we can have it all" literally and start to release them irl: destroy their brand, reputation and music.

@@jamesg7016 I loved their album too. But I agree with you. Watched them in Manchester uk about 2 years ago. Was quite disappointed. They sounded good but it was very much like this vibe in the video. I got into them because of their funky disco sound. This vibe is just too clubby and “night” for my liking. Like there’s no comparison between their vol I and II vids. That first one in the Berlin studio was unbelievable. The 2nd one in the nightclub was shit.
