I miss the old funk/disco sound, I love parcels but I fell in love with the complex musicality and harmonies you guys had, I understand bands change over time to fit the market or whatever but the Live Vol 1 was the parcels I miss, I will still support you guys though.

it's not so black and white, just coz they do something different with a new album doesn't mean they can't do what they did in their old albums, it takes time to make complex music, they are probably making a lot of different stuff all at the same time

@@3DiFilms I completely understand, it's just my opinion. The band is free to do whatever they wish and as I say I will still support them, but I'm personally not a fan of the new sound but there's 1000's of people that are, still my favourite band regardless.

I think this song, for example, is one they play for exactly live events like this and not something they play in their main music videos... I don't think they have changed, seems like they made this kind of music years ago already as well, they are still playing their bread and butter ;)

Good performance. Although, i must admit i miss your old style of electro pop - funk - disco genre. It seems like you've taken a complete different direction this year. That's not bad at all, it's just not my taste. If you've felt like you guys needed a change, i trust your gut.

Patrick was seeking for hundreds of excuses why vol2 appeared so specific in the interview to the Rolling Stone: because of mafia, police, tension, nerves, problems etc. But I feel he was who insisted on doing vol2 this techno way without much thought and rehearse (why waste time and effort on it?) and he was who convinced the others to record it in Paris and not in NY as it was agreed before just for his personal convinience, highly likely the idea was planted in his head. And the whole team had an awful experience that day, he wrote on IG. Now we have to listen to this and Patrick is finding excuses 😅

The record itself didn’t want to be made 😅 first attempt cancelled in nyc bc of covid, 2nd attempt disaster in paris bc of mafia. Yet it was still released (probably bc of contract obligations). Universe couldn’t have been clearer. Parcels split the timeline into this techno tangent. In another universe they would have released lv2 w string instruments and steady cameras in a beautiful concert venue, and everything would have become right in the world. All wars would end and everyone would be living in peace. 😊 No arguing in the comments abt techno boom boom like in this timeline.

I cannot overstate the extraordinary disappointment that every (musically inclined) fan of this band feels when they hear this Generic techno garbage. It's one of the worst things to happen to any band I've ever loved in my entire life - no different from a plane crash - the effect is the same. For the love of God, make it stop.
