My goodness, what beautiful artistry! Your work is magnificent. At this point in my paper crafting, I'm not anywhere close to trying my hand at parchment craft, although I used velum once for something very basic . . . I thought it was lovely. LOL. Very beautiful Rachel. I love parchment. I made favors using parchment and I love the ending result. It's really fun especially when using your embossing folders. I'm waiting for my TH embossing folder. Really want to use the Bingo one with Parchment. TFS!

Truly gorgeous work! I've done some parchment craft, but I need a pattern, and I don't have the patience or coordination for the most detailed work. These are enough great cards to make a really nice book.

@doreenfarnham1 Yes, you can buy rainbow and coloured parchment. Pergamano would be the brand I recommend as it is designed for parchment craft and is a good heavy weight.

Unbelievable detailed work. So gorgeous. I loved the first one with the butterflies, as well as the one with the lilies. So gorgeous! I loved the subtle rainbow effect too! So much detailed cutting, wow! The single butterfly one, with the hold lines is absolutely exquisite. Such incredibly nice work. I wish I knew how to make these. Do you have a tutorial on how these can be made? I'd like to try it :) Thanks for sharing!

@1sweetbonbon Thanks for your kind comments! I have never used a light box for parchment craft. If you use patterns as I have done they are easy enough to trace without the need for a light box. For embossing work, I use the Pergamano embossing pad. Hope that helps :-) Rachel

I mostly buy my parchment online, but you should be able to find it at a local craft store too. If you are unsure which parchment is suitable, go for the Pergamano brand. It can be more expensive than other brand, but is stronger and more resilient, making it a better choice for a beginner if you are unsure about how heavy it should be. Then you will have a good one to compare others too for the weight it needs to be :-)

@suziecrafter10 Hi Susan, I used a pattern for most of these designs which gives you the basic outline. Obviously all the colour and shading is up to the individual. Usually there are cutting and embossing instructions too.

Can you do a small one as a TUTORIAL and let us see how you did them please! I've only ever seen this kind of crafts as pictures in mags. Hi Tria, I bought myself a couple of books to learn the techniques - that was a long time ago though & I'm sure there are plenty of video tutorials around now if you search for them. The Pergamano site is a good place to visit too :-)

@luckygallm Hi, The parchment paper used in this craft is much thicker than that you would use for baking, though saying that, it is still rather delicate to work with.

The pattern was by Pergamano, not sure if they still make it or not. I found a lot of my tools online, try ebay :-)

OH MY GOSH! I have wanted to do some parchment crafts for quite a while now. The problem is I haven't had the finances to purchase the tools. You have done beautiful work! I love the butterflies. But I really love the one with the cat!!!! I'm a cat lover, and we have 2 at the moment. Neither of which is a tabby. But they both have a catatude.

LOVED your work!! Until now I have preferred white work because all the colour I had seen was too dominating. Yours however, is very subtle and appealing. Great viewing and I was sorry when it was over.

Oh my goodness! Your work is stunning! Simply amazing! I read your comment to another person, there are VERY few tutorials out for use newbies. I wish you would consider consider doing tutorials! Start with the beginning...basic supplies needed and then techniques, believe it or not, there is not a video on the proper way to cut. I saw one video and a commenter left an ugly comment on how she was wrong on her technique but did not offer help. As I said, your work is stunning! Valerie

I'm not really sure about tutorials for Parchment craft, at least on YT as I've never looked for any. I'm sure there will be some though if you search. Christine Coleman does a couple of DVDs that may be helpful to you - Not sure if these are available worldwide, but it's worth looking her up :-)
