I am a virgo and Mercury in Virgo too! I asked lots of questions as a kid, I needed to understand things but I was always told to be quiet, not to ask, so as a teenager I rebelled to find answers to those questions. My kid is a virgo and I answer all his questions and explain things to him so he understands. I encourage his passions and get involved too! I also ask him questions too to get his critical thinking going! We have a great relationship and he’s amazing - I tell him he there is nothing he can do that will make me not love him and that even in making mistakes we learn. I feel grateful that my upbringing was so awful because it helps me be a better mum 😊

My son also has both Sun (2nd/3rd degree) and Mercury in Virgo! AND his rising is Gemini (which is the sign that we share, me also rising) and 3 degrees from Rahu! Thank goodness for his Sagittarius moon for a bit of balance! He is only 2.75 yrs. old right now but I’m seeing these Virgo qualities starting to come out and he was and is an excellent and early talker! I’m prepping for the why??? Period that will soon come. The only thing I have in Virgo is my part of Fortune which is closely conjunct his sun of course! He is my lucky charm! I am raising him by myself. Virgo rising with both parents having a Virgo stellium - our house was FILLED with puzzles, board games, legos, and crafting materials. Everyone had their own bookshelf and we spent lots of family time just reading in the same room as each other. Instead of watching children’s television, I obsessively watched Food Network, wanting to understand how dishes were “put together”. I wrote, read, and drew like crazy (strong Mercury in Pisces). I will add that the “redirecting obsessive energy” is not only very accurate, but it’s a way of self-soothing; working a puzzle or model or collage actually helps my brain to settle down and focus after taking in so much info and stimulation during the day. My parents play Wordl every day as their “puzzle time” 😂 And growing up, the perfectionist tendencies were STRONG, especially concerning schooling and athletics. I was expected to be at my absolute 100% best every day, and if I got anything wrong or made a mistake, I would immediately have to answer as to why (not a recommended tactic!). Your comment about being a loving supportive parent when a Virgo kid messes up hit hard; I think having that as a child would have made me much less afraid of making mistakes and taking risks as an adult.

I have a Virgo moon and mercury, and this was great. I think my favorite one was #4, to support the dualities. Virgos can really beat themselves up, because we already have it inside ourselves to want to be pure, helpful, and “good”. When we do something “wrong”, I promise we are *already* punishing ourselves internally. We really don’t need “help” with that. One time when I was younger, I grounded *myself* for a week because I stole my neighbors beanie babies from his yard sale, as a joke. LOL. The guilt I had was palpable, and that’s still a core memory of mine. The things that have caused me the most hurt, shame, and damage in my life have been the times when I’ve been either implicitly - or even worse, explicitly - not accepted or loved for the “dirty” or “impure” parts of myself. And at 33 years old, it’s still any every-day project to work on self-acceptance, and at best, self-empowerment… now almost specifically based my ability to be both pure *and* impure, and love myself either way. Love this series!

This double Virgo has Mercury and Pluto in my 1st house. This house / planets square my Gemini moon. I was unrelenting in my questions. But hey, my inquisitive nature has allowed me to thrive in the information technology space. So insightful! And right on spot! As a Virgo rising (Leo Sun), I definitely feel like the support of unconditional love and dualities has been missing. And I feel how much this was important for me as a kid, and how much I missed this. I feel like I received the exact opposite, and as a result got a sense that I was never good enough, never pure / spiritual enough. What a way to build self-esteem. 😢 How matter how much I tried, I could have done better and I was too human, with too many emotions (lots of frustrations/ anger), and I was always a disappointment. Oh brother. Virgo rising (Mr Virgo rising ...you know...by The Doors 😊) That part about the calender hit home super hard. And then(uh...now) the epiphany that I LOVE taking high assemblage stuff out of the box when its 1st gotten home...and having it disassembled all over the floor for days before putting it together. My Venus is in Virgo in my 10th house!! Thank you for helping me support my inner child today! (I have a lot of calendars and now I know why I still draw pictures on them.) I am currently graduating with my BA in Art Education and entering the Teaching Credential Program to become an upper grade Art teacher as my career after raising 4 sons who are now in their 20's. Subjects that interest me are: the most ancient source material of the faith I was raised in, etymology of sounds and how they evolve to words/magic, fine art as a form of subconscious connection, portraiture (understanding people through art) and privately investigating esoteric topics thoroughly before talking about what I understand.

I have been loving this series! As a mother to 3 kids I can find something that helps parenting with almost every sign so far. But this episode has created more Aha! moments than any of the others. Virgo rising here. I feel like my family provided a really helpful environment growing up, mostly by being really lenient, and also unconditional love. They weren't able to provide much guidance for me in terms of how to deal with the shadows of virgo energy, but they were always supportive and loving. I think the space they provided to let me figure things out for myself helped me to be able to solve problems creatively and independently, and have confidence in my ability to do that. Then when i completely fucked up and was beating myself up over it, they were there to tell me that the most important thing for them is that I'm happy, and that there's nothing i could do to make them not love me.

Adam, thank you. You see it. You get it. My parents didn't quite get it... sure they would tell me that I must not be neurotic and that I must relax and, and, and... usually it sounded more like they were trying to pacify me rather than "support" me. The purity/impure dynamic is so true, for example I'll be out on a date, the person is fairly decent. Then half way through the date I'll spot something small like their overgrown cuticles. Theb I lose a considerable amount of attraction for them, at the same time and I know fully well that the person in the whole isn't bad. 😫🙈. I register the overgrown cuticles as "you have dirty, filthy hands" and not "perhaps this person hasn't gone for a manicure yet or they just not into stuff like that but they have okay hands" Another example of how this Virgo didn't turn out badly but some of this advice could've come in handy so that I can better navigate it life growing up is when the shade of brown of someone's shoes doesn't quite match the shade of brown of their watch... speaking of watches, I once spotted a person who had a wrist watch on but it wasn't working as in the arms of the watch weren't moving. Maybe the battery was flat. But my brain went something like: how do you know where you are with your schedule when you watch doesn't work?

I am Virgo, I never resonated with her I thought she was wyrd and weak, realized through the awakening she was the initiator to the 5 stages of consciousness. She bought me back. Virgo Sun with a lot of Virgo placements, so this is interesting for me Can confirm it's important to not suppress their natural curiosity, but then again that's true for all kids. I don't recall wanting to know what the inside of a radio looked like, for instance, but I was very curious about everything in nature. When it came to machines, computers, etc, I didn't break them down to their components but I would memorize all of their behaviors and oddities. So I was always the one who knew the particular way you'd have to push a button or jiggle a switch, etc, in order to get a slightly broken machine to work. That also translated to studying how certain people behaved and knowing how to avoid stepping on their eggshells, so to speak

I have a Virgo sun conjunct Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus in the 9th. Never had food issues as far as how my body looks, but hyper sensitivity to a lot of foods. Can’t drink alcohol (blessing and curse lol) and my body demands real food! Also a huge propensity towards over thinking, over analyzing, anxiety. This was a great talk!

Virgo sun and venus here - asking questions and getting to the bottom of things really resonated with me. As I kid I would always need exact answers (time, directions, plans, etc.) I would ask questions until I got the complete and total answer and my understanding of the situation felt complete. My dad would sometimes get annoyed with my questions and yell "no more questions!". It infuriated me to not be given the understanding I needed to allow my mind to be satisfied and move onto the next part of my day.

As a virgo ascendent and Aquarius sunsign saying "I dont know" is way perfect an answer vs "It just is that way" because it gives room for growth and understanding on the subject and "accept it because i said it" sounds like you know what youre talking about and a virgo knows you dont know already so they want a Confirmation which is more truthful to every single question vs "it just is" which is a lie you say is fixed and cant be changed and doesnt allow any room for learning, growth development and understanding. Amazing. I learned so much about my mom and why she had such a hard time with me. We were very alike both with mercury energy, mine Gemini. Chaos of my spontaneous nature must have been so chilly for her. I can’t help but think that if she didn’t get unconditional love and was criticized by her sisters or mom or dad, then how would she know how to give it?

This was pretty good, I’d give it a 5.2/10 for being slightly above average so you can feel good while being aware there’s room for improvement. Kidding. Virgo Ascendant with Saturn and rahu, Saturn is combust with an out of sign sun and it should be surprising I’d say I haven’t decided on out of sign conjunctions due to that being a “thing”. Mercury in the 12th, I’m actually more observational than asking questions along with other things, I can be secretive. I found commenting actually helps organize my thinking and it should be noticeable that there’s a “tone” that suggests that. In some traditional techniques like “master of.. lord of..” mars in libra is a heavy influence and, if that’s analyzed, it likely shows up. Hits: if I get into a territory where I may imply anything critical towards anyone else, I like to make it clear that the internal criticism is amped up 1,000% where I avoid being critical of others UNLESS it falls into certain categories at certain times and it’s very often to something going on “libra” like. More often, if I don’t see something as useful, I won’t pay attention to it. Touched on, putting it in a different way with what it’s linked to is inferred; i’ll say I enjoy spending time with pets being that they’re (more often) the better people. 😆. One thing I can add, having mercury in retrograde, I intentionally do things with the intent to go back in a very non linear way that ends up linear. Some of this was touched on (oddly) in diving into Campbell’s lectures where the 3rd and 9th are goddess/god more related to cultures dominated by gods were more nomadic, cultures more dominated by goddesses were cultivating. 3rd house topics align with goddess themes and 9th with god. Invention of writing, education, community, agriculture, irrigation, etc.. goddess cultures. God cultures, it’s interesting they’ll use terms still today like “flock”, “herd”, “sheep”, etc. Hermes, Mercury: documentation. Cultivation, by doing this, culture could be cultivated and so on. Astrology is a great virgo subject because it encompasses every aspect of life while it’s also nice having Cardinal placements where there’s no feeling of need to complete it, it’s impossible to do so. In all likelihood, I’ll probably mostly spend time properly fleshing out the cadent houses since those are the ones I’ve not been happy with throughout my time (the entirety) with. The goddess’s are more mercurial, gods are more jupitarian. The most interesting thing is the caution from thinkers like Jung, Campbell, etc.. if people lose touch with their inner myths, they’ll experience it (real or not) externally as fate. Many astrologers mention this. That’s why I think it could be interesting to just state Lilith is the archetype of the 12th knowing that pushback would be explicitly acting out the archetype already knowing it’s been adopted for that exact reason which is in everyone’s chart regardless of placements. The myth that’s identified with is early use in certain religions related to an obedient spouse, not the Babylonian but there’s some similarities. My interest is probably in seeing so many people fall into the “bad spirit” spell over the last 6-7 years and it follows the aspect models. What’s REALLY fun with astrology is seeing how the profection lord of the year impacts what’s going on, even if it’s internal. This year, I’ll get into something randomly for seemingly no reason and I can just look at where Venus is which matches the archetype and subjects. On one hand, I had a lot of freedom as a kid. On the other, brutally nitpicked. 😝

Before my son was Born, I was like "please God let this being be Libra!" Being Virgo moon Sag rising, I was terrified of this energy. Guess what...he is tripple Virgo (sun, asc and Mercury) with Mars in Scorpio...talking about strong will and obssessions...he can be the most charismatic and sweet boy as long as things go his way, but dare you say no to him! When he was smaller (10 Now) he would litteraly act like the Mercury if I tried to stop him from doing something or force him into something he didnt want. The feeling was as if you touch Mercury and it disintegrates into many pieces.... My mother said he was like a snake if she tried to take him from something he would relax his body and slide out of arms and back to his point of interest. In school problems started and he got the Asperger diagnose...hard to explain psychologist that with such a chart you are what you are 😅

I was born under Sun 00deg Libra, chased very closely by Mars at 29deg Virgo, Moon 26 deg Virgo, Mercury 12deg Virgo, and Pluto 2deg Pluto, with Ascendant at 24deg Libra (all planets in my chart are bounded by Uranus at 10deg Leo in 10th house, trine Saturn at 09deg Sagittarius in 2nd house, with Uranus in opposition to Chiron at 12deg Aquarius in 4th house. My daughter and ex-husband both had Moon at 14 deg Virgo, which is conjunct / within orb of my Mercury. The family dynamic could really become quite critical at times! But it's helpful to know that the higher expression of Virgo aims to help make things better. My daughter and I are very good at creative solutions and generative learning - adapting applying past learning in new contexts. I was definitely that very inquisitive child who was always asking questions and wanting to learn more. My mother would send me to have a look in the encyclopaedia, and I would often lose track of what I originally went to look for, because i discovered so many interesting things along the way.

I forgot to say that both my mother and my younger sister are early (August) Virgo Sun - a lot of similarities in their charts, and my mother always "got" my sister (who also had the gift of the gab and was very quick-witted, thanks to her Moon in Gemini) and thought she was just the bees knees, while she struggled to understand me. It was amazing to see so many parallels in their lives, too - for example, both married a week short of their 19th birthday. My sister was a neat freak whose bedroom was always in perfect order, which earned my mother's endless praise. My sister would pull everything out of the Tupperware cupboard and organise it. When she was unsettled, she would reorganise everything in her bedroom. There was never even a wrinkle in the bedspread. But there was a point where her desire to attain "perfection" took its toll on her mental health - she has had 2 nervous breakdowns and was diagnosed as bipolar requiring medication - she's so finely wired. I eventually discovered the truth of the little pillow with the smiley face that sat amongst all her stuffed animals, with curious black marks on the back. What a metaphor it was for her life - just like the happy face she put on around other people, she placed the smiling face outward and hid her tears for private moments when she was going to sleep - the black marks were from her tears smearing her mascara. I felt so sad for her when I learned that! Fortunately, she has found purpose as the wife of a Southern Baptist minister, a period of time as missionaries, and now also as a doting grandmother. Hi Adam, can u do a video on ur thoughts about the US Debt ceiling crisis? By June 5 (around when the Treasury says it runs out of money), retrograde Pluto will be opposite Venus almost exactly, and both represent wealth. Pluto will also loosely oppose Mars in Leo; this is tremendous stubbornness and inability to compromise, esp. in fixed signs. Also, Mercury will be conjunct Uranus once again in Taurus, making opinions and beliefs very fixed. Jupiter will be in early Taurus square Pluto, and I also believe there is a full moon in Sagittarius around then. So I wonder what ur thoughts are, thanks.
