So sad. I can't imagine how it would feel to not know if your child was one of the victims. My son is 48, and I would die if anything happened to him. My sister lost her son at the age of 21 to a freak accident at work and 27 years later she is still grief-stricken over the loss of her son. In this day and age, I would be afraid to send my child to school. Much love and prayers to everyone at the school. No child should suffer like all the parents and children and teachers and first respomders have suffered today.

I’m a retired teacher. If people ask me, I recommend them to homeschool if at all possible. The public schools are failing to educate, instead filling children’s minds with lies like CRT, Communism, and sexual perversion instead of basic academics like reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history (not Social Studies=Socialism). They need practical skills as well. Most people are not cut out to be doctors, lawyers, and physicists. If homeschool won’t work for you, very carefully vet a private school, be it religious or secular. If you find a good one, make whatever sacrifice is necessary to send your child there. Make sure YOU raise your children, not the state, the school, or the teacher.

I see the signs in troubled kids and adults on a weekly basis and I don't know about anywhere else but the wait time to get in to have a mental health evaluation is unacceptable. Very sad. My son is in the 3rd grade. When I hear the story of 3rd grader death, my heart goes to the parent. Giving birth to them, raising them, seeing their adorable faces learning to walk, hearing the first words, first day going to school in Kindergarten, when they return home on their first day of school....on and on....I do felt the pain of their loss.

I'm sick to my stomach. I've been trying to keep my cries silent until my son went to bed but my 8 year old just got out of bed and hugged me. My goodness this is so humbling. I'm so sorry for these sweet babies and their families. R.i.P I'm just so mad. To think I had to call the police last night because someone tried to break in my place. I'm always trying to keep my baby safe. Living alone as a single mother. Especially after the trauma he experienced at a daycare by the owner at three years old 5 years ago.
