I know my mother interfered with my teenage son, and they thought they could do it better, and now he’s facing life in prison when all she had to do was stay out of my business not to mention she wasn’t doing it because she loved him. She did it to use his Social Security number.

Omg. I’m going thru that now. My mom and I were so close until I got pregnant after college. I really disappointed her. She acts like I don’t know what I’m doing. Never holding him accountable for anything. Never backs me up. I’ve confronted her about it but it doesn’t matter. He’s 19 now and all the shenanigans he does , she jumps in. He goes to her when he doesn’t like my rules. He never liked rules. Basic everyday, freaking rules! When he was in school it was a nightmare for me and she would not help me, just criticized me. She’s a teacher so I thought she’d help: Nope. So here we are, I may have to throw him out of my home just to teach him some boundaries and a lesson in life. That would put the nail in the coffin of my and moms relationship but I don’t care. His dad has never been there either. Ever.

​@@MeMyself984I've been in your shoes,words of encouragement keep doing what you feel is best parents sometimes can't face certain areas they could have done better especially the older generations,they feel as if u putting them down,and will do stuff to spite you so can look as if you don't know what you doing.its sad but true.if u can't go to parents for support the lord only person can assist.
