ADHD is not enough of a problem to even think bully behavior is a symptom or allowable. My child had it, and she never grew up a bully. That’s just bad parenting. Has nothing to do with ADHD.

Agreed!!! I was ADHD before it even had a name!!! I never bullied anyone!! I was bullied for not being normal…not being able to focus, sit still etc etc. I got diagnosed at 33 and it was a life change for me to finally put a name to why my brain never stopped. The sister in this story is nothing but an entitled spoiled brat who never once got disciplined!!

@@shirleyakins1074 now, I’ll be honest. I’ve never been able to figure out if some of the more adventurous decisions she’s made was because of ADHD or her just being weird. Or both. We love to debate that, usually switching sides numerous times. I don’t know how that works in her head, but we’ve had some interesting discussions on what we’ve learned from whatever new hole she fell into.

It sounds like she’s on the spectrum for something. She probably has bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia.

Actually they are normally bullied by the "NORMAL KIDS" . Teachers always blamed the kids ADD, ADHA or anything different.

@ yeah, I remember,bet that part as well. It was not a fun time. I was always in the principals office. And, I enrolled her in Martial Arts for protection. Which really worked. Kendra was trying to calm herself down singing baby shark, which I don’t recommend, and one of her bullies came up, threw his hands up, like he was going to hit her. She swing her arm up to block. But, I was only going to slap her desk, and she ended up slapping him. Hard. She panicked and started crying, and she had to be taken to counselor office to calm down. She couldn’t, so they called me. And, that was the weirdest convo I’ve ever had with the principal. Your daughter is having a panic attack, she slapped a boy, but it’s ok cause he apologized. And, I was like, what? She slapped Him but He apologized? Yep. She’s not in trouble. I didn’t get the full story until after I got her home. I didn’t know if I should say don’t do that again or good job defending yourself, or ask the real question I wanted to know. How did she get him to apologize to her?

Rose can receive her ADHD meds in jail. She needed limits and she will have them in abundance in jail (where she will eventually end up in) and not only from the guards. She will quickly discover that there are meaner bullies in her cell block than her.

I am ADHD and have an IQ of 189. I learned to control it. 5 college Degrees and 5 minor Degrees. I have such a healthy heart I may live to be 120. I had a brother who beat me up and our mother never stopped it. He went to jail and refused to accept his action and he died at 55 years of age in 2016. He was such a horrible brother.

I have ADHD, I'm 38 years old. This is not because of the ADHD, it is because of bad parenting while it's important for people with ADHD to seek help such as medication which I did and counseling at times. But you'd be amazed, what an ass beating does for a child's behavior

I don’t understand the mindset of having a second child only to “save” or be a caregiver to your other disabled child. As a mother to a severely disabled adult age child I worry about who will be there for her when I’m gone like any normal parent worry. I remember when she was very little and I came to the realization that she would need care for the rest of her life I decided against having any other children because I worried that I wouldn’t be able to give them enough time or care given how much my daughter takes. I felt it wouldn’t be fair to any other child to expect them to be happy with always having to put her needs above their wants & needs. When I started dating my current husband I let him know everything upfront & advised him that if he wanted children of his own then he’d be better off with someone else. Fortunately my husband is an awesome person who not only didn’t have a problem being a father to someone else’s kid but a disabled kid & he is absolutely amazing with her, she likes him more than me. I’ve told him that if we ever divorce she’d probably just leave me for him since he’s her “Daddy”. I really lucked out with my husband because her Bio Dad wants nothing to do with her since she’s “defective” as he calls her. When she was first diagnosed her Sperm donor got so mad at me that he tried to kill us which needless to say led to us getting divorced. I thank God everyday that my current husband came into our lives he truly is my better half.

ADHD makes it harder to focus and maybe be obnoxious in the classroom. I have ADD and it has a lot of issues with it including heightened anxiety and being overly sensitive to certain things, but there is No Way this is just ADHD, for an 18 year old and then eventually grown twenty something woman to act in such manners.

I'm only 5 minutes in and I'm feeling my blood boil..... there is one thing I can say for sure..... ADHD is her least problem (me and my son are both ADHD's). The biggest problem is the parents' ignorance about their child's pathology and the entitlement to not seek help for her.

My guy, I feel like I should start reporting these stories to KZbin for how fake, misinforming, and harmful they are. This isn't because A.D.H.D. This is straightup antisocial behavior, and the fact that they have the gall to just attribute it to that is just disgusting.

That is an uneducated brat that was coddled and enabled by two idiots her entire life. ADHD is no excuse for that deranged behaviour. I know a lot of people with ADHD and none of them behaves like that. Yes, they need a bit of help when they get overwhelmed by modern world but they never hurt other people for fun.
@wendigo33314 күн бұрын
Exactly. I have very mild ADHD. But I was taught early on not to be a bully. And I grew up being a little more playful than other kids but I knew not to hurt others. There is no excuse in Rose's case.

I have a younger special needs sister. Though she took up a lot of my parents time they worked worked very hard to make sure my quality of life was good. And we didn't have the emotional issues seen here. My sister was a truly loving person. And she was younger. I've known a number of people who were younger than the special needs sibling, particularly the immediate sibling following the special needs child. And emotional problems are particularly difficult. These parents completely dropped the ball. It sounds like they didn't even try. I took care of my sister after my parents passed. Not even a question if I would. They asked, not demanded. But I can fully understand OP's position here. I would probably be the same way.
