@@Kona_Blue that's how you begin generational wealth. It has to start somewhere. They aren't lazy kids, you heard the father say they graduated college & manage their own finances well. I would 100% do the same for my children.

Cindy Blanco, did you even watch the video? His childern worked hard with their parents during this whole process. They helped play a key role in helping their parents payoff their debt and become wealthly, it was a family effort. So why shouldn't their parents help them payoff their mortgage as a huge thank you for all that they did for their them? I'd hate to be your son or daughter in a situation like this after all they helped you through, just to give them the cold shoulder like that. You must be one cold hearted woman....

We all need parents like that... mine paid for my down payment and all college tuitions and I worked hard to pay the house off.. I am debt free and I love them to bits and am forever grateful... these parents here are also the same...their kids will love them forever. If parents are gonna kick them out at 18 and they had to take student loans and do part-time jobs to survive, they cannot expect their kids to look after them when they are sick and old... You reap what you sow.

@@nordette we make about 35k a years and right after we started fallowing Dave, we sold a little bit of land for 21K, then we paid off our home!!!!! and then we started the debt snowball, with no mortgage payment the credit card didn't have a fighting chance lol. Sell everything thats not nailed down. Rice and beans or beans and rice

Trust the process P Baboo. I've been credit card debt free for quite sometime now, but I have to get my spouse on the gravy train with me. We like the cash back and air miles, but credit cards make it too easy to spend frivolously if you're not careful. Have faith in this method; it works and it's liberating to say the least! Dana my dad took a loan out in my name but co-signed it before I knew anything about loans...the agreement was that he was going to pay back my junior year loans and I would take care of my senior year loans (I cash flowed my first two years and went to community college) but we never wrote down the agreement.
