What exactly do apologies do? It can't undo or unsay what has been said or done. It can't undo the pain & disappointment OP feels/felt. Saying sorry means what? Is it like saying abracadabra & everything magically disappears & all is good? You just cut them off & that is final. You tell your child when they are old enough to understand why you have nothing to do with them. If the child decides they'd like a relationship with them that's fine but they'd have to figure out ways to meet cos you're NC & that's final. No hearing them out. They said what they said. That child & her husband aren't family only her sister is, then it can stay that way.
