Societal norms seem to be shifting as parents continue to take care of their adult kids financially longer.

I'm 25 and I've lived in my parents basement for the past 3 years while working a full time job to try to support myself and be financially stable enough to move out and not move back. It's not easy to afford apartments and my parents help lend me money and I make payments every week to pay them back for my bills, etc. Don't know where I'd be without them! ❤

@Liberals are Mentally ill I pay rent lol I wouldn't be able to live there if I didn't. I also have other bills I'm paying off to them from them loaning me thousands of dollars. I could give you a detailed run down if you need that 🤣😛

I think it goes both ways. People are having a hard time affording things on their own regardless of age. They gotta pool resources in these hard times. Elderly people need help too you guys. Social security isn't cutting it.

Welfare pays better then social security in many cases

Agreed. If parents are well off and their children can't even get a home, I dont understand why parents can't lend a hand.

@@babygamer405naw bich, as a boomer myself, we screwed these kids over. We were lucky and experienced a great economy, affordable living, easy career paths and wages… they don’t have that luxury

This is not that bad. I know parents who have grown adults living in the basement free loading and don't work or go to school. Now that's sad.

Give someone a fish, they eat for a day. Teach them to fish, they'll eat for the rest of their life. It's good to bail them out, but teach them money management, teach them frugality, teach them how to invest.
