Sir how to solve this: The necessary condition for a given amount of public good to be Pareto efficient is that the sum of the marginal willingness to pay should be equal to the marginal cost. Suppose 10 people live on a street and each of them is willing to pay Rs 2 for each extra unit of streetlight, regardless of the number of streetlights provided. If the cost of providing x streetlights is C(x) = x ^ 2 , x > = 0; the Pareto efficient number of streetlights is?

The classic interpretation of Marx's theory of value is flawed. * Expected value on the production side of commodity society According to Marx, the formula W = c + v + s describes the formation of value. Marx applies this value formula to the production side of commodity society. But there is no surplus value there. There there is only the cost c + v, which is expected to be replaced when the product is sold. Likewise, an entrepreneur can only estimate how much surplus value he can expect when selling the product. Even if an angel were to hand down money from heaven to the entrepreneur, that would not add any surplus value because it would only replace part of the cost. Consequently, there is only one expected value on the production side: W|expected = c|cost factor, replacement expected + vv|cost factor, replacement expected + s|expected. * On the market, the surplus value is paid and the value formed - with the exchange Only if a buyer buys the product, pays the costs c + v in full and also pays more, there is surplus value. Since surplus value is part of value, value cannot exist until it is clear whether the buyer is paying surplus value and if so, how much. Moreover, the surplus value is paid not on the cost but on the reimbursement of the cost. This happens in the market - another reason why value is formed only in the market. * You can only produce prerequisites for value creation Value is a social relationship. Such a thing cannot be produced, it is formed between people, concretely between exchange partners. One can only produce the prerequisites for value relationships and values, but not the values themselves.
