Guys I think I’ve bought my last PDM product! Bought 50ml Pegasus in 2017 still have a 1/3 left never really liked it is soooo strong gave me a headache! Bought Layton two years ago still have it and still love it performance is great! Bought Herod at the end of 2023 and have basically ignored ot since performance is literally non existent was so disappointed for the price I complained to PDM direct asking if they had any similar complaints re performance and they ignored me! Love Carlisle and debated long and hard before I went ahead and bought it just after Xmas 2024 and honestly guys it’s the same as Herod very weak and is a skin scent within 20 mins! Spent approx £550 on two fragrances that don’t perform but I only have myself to blame! My bottles of Layton, herod and Carlisle are all 81% and Layton performs very well so not sure what the issue is with Herod and Carlisle!

Red Tobacco is similar but not a clone. But its really good and I would recommend it over the current Carlisle clones out now.

I blind bought Carlisle and I am very happy I did I am a beginner in world of fragrance. And I think I could not start better also I have Layton, Percival, Initio oud for greatness and side effect. Great video I am learning a lot about fragrance with you thank you

Great video again George. My (rubbish) nose convinced me there was a boozy note in Carlisle ... whisky or rum or something along those lines ... but on checking the notes there aren't any! It does smell boozy to me though 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't need to be listed Rum or Whiskey on It to be boozy: 1) they don't list all the notes, 2) patchouli and other materials, or notes or accords may have a boozy undertone.

My favorite PDM is still Oajan, but I got Carlise last Saturday and it’s amazing. The opening is kinda weird, but man that dry down is heavenly. I love how after a few hours the rose comes through so smooth. I even sprayed Red Tobacco on my other wrist, and yeah they do smell similar. However Mancera is harsher to my nose, so I prefer the smoothness of Carlise. I also got a tester bottle like you.

Carlisle is one of my favourite fragrances I have ever tried - definitely a masterpiece in my opinion. Mystery Tobacco by Carolina Herrera is very similar to Carlisle if you haven't tried it yet :)

I disagree regarding the performance. I owned two 125ml bottles of Carlisle and both had a 3-4h projection while becoming a skin-scent after 4 hours... that is thin, weak and not cool for the price. There seem to be lots of batch-issues at PdM currently as well, plus bottles before 2021 had somewhat like 77%alc. in it while all newer ones have 81% - so less perfume oil. Maybe my bottles need to mature a little but the performance will never become "outstanding". (If you wonder: All PdM stuff I owned was bought directly from PdM)

I just bought with a batch code from May 2022. It was weak. Lasted an hour on my skin. For 300 bucks… red tobacco for now on

@@ybp3308 I mean it's a strong fragrance whatsoever, lasts 7-8 hourse without being quiet. But it's not the Ombre-Nomade-like room filling beastmode anymore. Which is okay to me because I hate it, when my fragrance doesn't stop smelling even after 24 hours

@@visionaryfragrances just got a 2021 bottle, reformulated, the first few sprays on myself the scent diminishes quite quickly than the decant test I have, is that also a thing for you? The scent on my arm is now gone to a low skin scent, where as the tester decant on my other arm is radiating like crazy. Will the perfume become better as it ages in the bottle? How many hours does it perform on you? 8-10 hours?

Parfums de Marly has REFORMULATED Carlisle. I own an older formulation which has an alcohol concentration of 77%. The new formulation I see in stores has 81% alcohol. My formulation is a dark ORANGE / AMBER color. The new formulation is a very light, faint copper color. The new formulation does not last as long and it smells different. Parfums de Marly fragrances are ALWAYS getting reformulated and become much weaker than their ORIGINAL releases. Parfums de Marly HAS NOT been transparent when it comes to the reformulation of their fragrances. Herod, Layton & Oajan have also been reformulated and have 3%-4% more alcohol in newer batches.

Bro, stop spreading garbage, I have a batch that’s only four months, old, and the stuff lasts 12+ hours, I’ve washed the shirt i sprayed this on three times now, and I can still smell it. Bozos like you are buying fakes, and or you’re broke and bitter you can’t afford it so you try and discourage others

I bought all my Parfums de Marley fragrances in department stores in the U.S.A. and I compared my old batches with the new batches that are being sold in department stores in the U.S.A.. I DO NOT own fake batches. I am mad that Parfums de Marley reformulates their fragrances. People can make their own decisions about fragrances. It is amazing that people like you go crazy if you disagree with somebody's comments. I would look in the mirror before calling me a bozo. I would also read my entire post before starting a fight over my fragrance comment.
