Spearmint and Amrox Super which I believe is a super combination and plus point? Gives a woody dry down so I am surely up for this fragrance. I love how honest you are as always that its not gonna blow you away as its a skin scent. I am excited that I can win this 😍 I love the bottle which is blue and transparent. I contacted PDM and asked them if, and when Sedley would be available in Europe. They responded first quarter of 2020. So i'll have to wait a little longer. Thanks for the review.

I like Parfums de Marly. I am in the process of testing out their line. So far my favorite is Delina. Sedley is one of the ones I haven't gotten a sample of yet. The mint note sounds intriguing as I like the smell of fresh mint. Love to add fresh mint while I am cooking. There is a Nordstrom's about 1 1/2 hours away. I stop in there anytime I drive through Cincinnati. I will be driving by Cincy in a couple weeks and see if that Nordstroms carries this fragrance.

PDM is currently my fav fragrance house but when I sampled this from a reputable discounter it didn’t last but last week when the PA sprayed this on me in PDM it lasted no kidding 12 hrs on my arm & smelled great in my skin. Must of been the sprayer. Great professional review & you’re right is an office scent & more like Galloway in that regard

I am a huge fan of Parfums de Marly but sadly most of the PDM fragrances I own are the darker more fall/winter based fragrances like Godolphin, Nisean, Oajan, Habdan, Carsile just to name a few. So it would be great to own and enjoy a fresher PDM fragrance.

I got a full bottle on a swap and it really grew on me its so ez to wear and it lasts a long time. This one is difficult to smell if your wearing it olfact fatiguer 4sure.

Enjoyed great review as usual, had a chance to smell and sample this one from Nordstrom here in Seattle. I like this scent and will work well for office wear, but couldn’t smell it after five hour mark so I have to try it some more and see.

I'm in Doha for a few weeks. Bought a decant of Sedley and that's what I brought as my only fragrance. I really like it. Soft mint....actually reminds me of Mr. Burberry Indigo a little bit.

I blind bought Sedley from Nordstrom website and I love it! The performance and projection are definitely not on par with the other PdMs but I just can’t get enough of the smell. Sometimes you don’t really need a beast mode fragrance though so it’s an okay purchase for me.

Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews another point about your video, I went to a Nordstrom here in San Jose and they cleared out their PdM collection. I asked and nobody would tell me why they stop selling PdMs. I thought it was strange so I decided to blind buy it from their website. I’m still wearing it when school starts because it is a very nice, inviting, and appropriate scent for school (until it gets cold here in San Jose, then I’ll probably switch to Layton)

Still havent added a Parfum De Marly fragrance to my collection. Not a store around me that carries it...kind of like you. I can't blind buy anything that expensive but the notes sound fantastic. I have tried Layton and Carlisle and just got a sample today of Percival but haven't smelled it yet, and I'd love to try numerous others from ur top 10 PDM list and Pegasus and Kalan too. I don't have anywhere close to a seasoned or experienced nose but u most definitely do so I wanted to ask if u get a medicinal or mentholy kinda smell in the opening of Layton. I kinda did I think but loved the dry down. Layton has actually been my favorite so far. Love ur channel. Thanks.

HI Sebastian. Bummer your local Nordy’s isn’t behaving and sharing the PDM love. My local Nordy’s introduced me to Sedley while I was choosing my second fragrance from the line, Layton. So for now I own Delina, as well as Layton; although the Exclusif versions of each are preferred, they are less versatile for my present needs. In the future, I would love to add Oajan, Pegasus and Meliora to my baby stash of smelling great fragrances:). In the meantime, I found Sedley to be friendly, pleasant, inviting, well mannered and what I suspect is agreeable to the masses as it merely hints at a trip to the “barbershop” before returning to work. Thank you for sharing your expertise and being an inspiring educator!!!

@@ThePerfumeGuy Isn't that what a top shelf aperitif is, although it could be bourbon, vodka, rum, tequila, gin or a mixed drink. Jack Daniels is technically whiskey. How about a live stream once in awhile with you and some of your regulars - and if you say the special phrase, everyone has to have a belt of their favorite beverage, unless someone goes to the local dispensary there in San Fran. and picks up some ganja for the group. I forgot that it's legal there now.

The first spray I got FOREST GREEN TREES and I was completely shocked and put off by it because the bottle being blue and supposedly this is based on Greece Mediterranean Sea so I was expecting it to be a little more aquatic than foresty. The bottle should’ve been a dark green. It’s good for when you go camping and wanna smell fresh. I think this one is extremely safe. PDM usually takes you on a roller coaster ride with their fragrances but Sedley (even Olivier the one who created this scent) admitted that this was not a crazy smell, it was pretty basic which I think was kind of not what anyone was expecting since that’s not usually PDM DNA. i wouldn’t buy this one for my bf. It’s my third day smelling it and I can see someone boring wearing it. I really like niche scents; original scents that leave you wanting to know what you’re wearing. This just smells like what my brothers smell like after showering w some guy body wash. It’s not a bad smell. The dry down is citrusy and a little woody which I do enjoy but it’s definitely not something new. I do appreciate that it’s stays to the skin and it’s not offensive or giving me asthma. It’s a pass for me, but when the price goes down to 100 bucks I might have my bf wear it in the summer. I was thinking that with water and sunscreen and the harsh heat here this might change my mind. Idk wish I had my bf here w me in the same state and that we weren’t in quarantine 🤣

A little bit of citrus, a little mint and a crap ton of ambrox super. Gave me a headache. I really wish they would have went more natural on this. Everyone says it doesn't last long, it's cause there's so much ambrox super in this you go anosmic to it very quickly.

First, I've seen PdM at some of the Nordstrom stores...not all, but the more upscale ones, for sure. I didn't like Sedley...it's pleasant, but I found it to be a fresh but artificial department store type cologne. To me, Layton and Sedley are in PdMs more mainstream/people-pleasing scents. Whereas Layton got everything right, Sedley went the other direction and got everything wrong. Perform was crap in that it lasts 4-5 hours and sits very close to my skin. I'm a big fan of Parfums de Marly (Darley and Byerley are highly under-rated gems IMO) but this one should be renamed to PdM Fail. Enjoyed the review.

As for availability, the Nordstrom's in my area is something akin to Class 4, which is great for sales an clearance items moved from others stores, but there is absolutely zero higher end items. Still...hard to imagine it's not available in S.F.
