We recorded this 4k ultra hd video during our trip to Parga, Greece on June 2021.
Surrounded by lush greenery and the cobalt sea, this beautiful town in western Greece boasts a unique natural setting.What's fascinating about Parga is that although it is a mainland town, its scenery reminds of an island. That’s why it is a popular destination for summer holidays. The town is touristically developed, meaning that it has many hotels, restaurants and facilities. Full of elegant two-story mansions with colorful walls, Parga looks like a postcard. On top of a hill above Parga town lie the ruins of an old Venetian Castle, built in the 11th century.
Our guided walking tour is about 1 mile (1.6 km) long and covers most attractions and historic sites of Parga.

Except that the Greeks tend to restore their crumbling stucco surfaces whereas the Italians never seem to do any maintenance work on their buildings -I've noticed this when looking at videos of the back streets and canals of Venice for example -everything is crumbling away -and in lots of other towns as well!

I am struck by how peaceful this quaint little town is...going at the end of August...can't wait! What I admire about Greece in general is that they didn't ruin their country with ugly tourist spots...they were wise enough to understand that tourists (decent ones) want to see the real Greece, not plastic towns like in Spain and Cyprus....thank goodness they didn't destroy their beautiful country!
