Problem is 95% people want to become that top 5%. So they are trying everyday. Just like millions of students trying to crack IIT entrance. They realize only when they can't clear the entrance. Some will realize at 10% loss and some at 100% loss. So this video is not about you shouldn't try rather realize it faster. (Fail fast) so you can risk manage things.

Direct stock investing needs patience. Picking fundamentally sound stocks near their 200DMA for long run gives good returns. As Basant Maheshwari says concentration of portfolio to less than 5 stocks, using leverage only during bear market, buying during market dips and holding during ATH will beat any MF over a very long run. Out of the 5 stocks 1-2 stocks mat become zero also but the remaining 3-4 stocks will be enough to create wealth.

It's FOMO. We feel we are missing out a great stock. But, when we buy MF. 2 problems. 1. It averages all stocks, few will be in overvalued and few will be undervalued. No blame to MFs but it feels like u r not working on it. Analogy: If u have a shop, u feel like working on it. Not just give it to a manager and trust them. 😂😊
