Good lord, that was the worst traffic management I've ever seen. Absolutely laughable performance. Misleading signs, no direct communication, no situational awareness. People almost bumped into each other numerous times within a minute thanks to these clowns. Wow!

@worldrenowned I'd be, too honestly.

What's worse is they weren't beat cops or Public Order cops but traffic motorcyclists (they have a specific uniform for enhanced visibility) who you would expect to be more experienced at traffic marshalling and management!

Old fashioned rotatory beacons... rare to see actually
@contactacbАй бұрын
France liked to be very retro with emergency lighting, with single beacons on many vehicles including large fire engines right up into the 2000's. It's only in recent years that there has been a wider use of multiple beacons, grille lights and lightbars. Also there was a tendency to have most lighting at the rear, it wasn't uncommon to see a fire service ambulance with a single beacon at the front and a fully loaded lightbar at the rear

Rare use of siren tones other than two tone with the water cannon convoy - if I recall siren tones are detailed in legislation that only allows two tones (electronic or air horn) and even has different tone frequencies for different services (watch a compilation on here with police, fire and ambulance - all different two tones)

Yet again just another stupid video you posted with lines of 60 police vehicles going down the road what’s in all of those 60 police vehicles ? At least mention what this is all about for the love of god

AS per the other videos and as the title says it's 1st May when France celebrates La Fête du Travail, or Labour Day, with parades, demonstrations, and rallies to honour workers' rights. As French demonstrations can get pretty lively to say the least this demands a heavy police presence from the Police Nationale, Gendarmerie & CRS with additional medical resources from the Paris Fire Brigade on scene too.

Your comment is stupid, look at the title of the video

Dom. Hard to read a French Title without translation. Contactacb provided much more background information. We do not all know French History or celebrations...
