At the time the video was uploaded I think it was needed but this video seems to be filmed before the pandemic, people are not wearing masks

I flew from Los Angeles to Paris 10 days ago and it was compulsory to check in. If you do a transfer from Paris CDG to whatever place into France or the EU a proof of vaccination will soon be required
