I just got back from Paris, too- Looks like we were there at the same time. I have a question about Airport shopping. I purchased many thing on my trip that qualified for VAT, when I got to the airport- I had to go to the machine and scan my documents by a customs agent BEFORE checking my bag. How does that work for Airport purchases. Aren't you already checked in before you can shop in the airport?

I love seeing what is available at CDG. It save you money if you can purchase an item there, rather than in the boutique and getting the VAT back, since the VAT processor charges a fee.
