Thanks for playing Danger by Design, Joe. Your Nancy Drew videos are awesome and make my day. Flop story: Back when this game first came out in 2006, I was in 6th grade. Me, a 6th grade boy, asked my parents for Danger by Design. They said no! The rejection turned me off to Nancy Drew games and it wouldn't be for years until I rediscovered Nancy Drew again and played ALL OF THEM. XD Love your content, can't wait to see more!

I didn’t realize steam had themed packs for the ND games. That’s a good way to sort the games rather than just release order imo. I looked up what games are in the Travel one and it seems to be a pretty good pack. Sea of Darkness is generally one of the favourites of the newer games (it’s beautiful and has an interesting plot. It’d also very puzzle heavy). The Captive Curse gets underrated imo. Lots of dialogue though especially at the beginning. Lots of German fairy tale references (brothers Grimm and all that). The Phantom of Venice is like Danger by Design for me in terms of quality - neither are the best game but they’re both fun and I think would make excellent Joe streams. I’m really hoping you get to a certain point next week it’s going to be so funny lol. The Shattered Medallion is considered one of the worst games. I’d hold off on this one for a bit but then again you don’t want to save all the lesser games until the end (and even bad ND games are fun!). This game probably would make more sense once you’ve seen more Sonny Joon references in other games...but even then it doesn’t make much sense lol.

I think he might actually really like MED… I think playing it after Alibi in Ashes would be good because IIRC the teaser is in that game at Scoop. Going from that game to the… events that occur in that… game. I can imagine the gag when… ;) and when :o and who could forget? SHEEP! 🐑

Joe I'm not sure if you're doing this already but on the older games where the sound is super wonky, it actually helps to go into the settings of the game and turn all the volume levels up as high as possible. Then you can turn the entire game volume down in OBS to whatever level you want and it helps balance it out a lot.

I finally figured out why I think the sound gets loud sometimes. I was playing over discord with a friend and turned the sound down but it didn’t effect the voice level in cut scenes. Those would get loud which has never happened when I play by myself cause I never messed with sound. Probably won’t be as bad in the newer games.
