Square Rapp is a nice spot but local residents wouldn't let me pass those nice gates to take some pictures :( Do you maybe know a good spot to watch the iron lady during the fireworks on quatorze juillet, maybe from a little distance?

Oh really ? There use to be a smaller door on the side which was always open, maybe they closed it now... :/ I’ll have to think about that question and I’ll let you know ! 🤔

@@Paradisienne The gates where open but as soon as I passed them a local sent me away... I was in Paris last year on 14/7 and I was standing on the opposite side from the Eiffeltower but I didn't like the pictures that I took so I want to try again this year :-)

I would say just always watch your stuff, leave everything in closed pockets and no phones or cameras on the table when you are eating in a restaurant or terrasse. Also they would always try to steal from tourists so if you blend in and don't appear too "touristy" it will be fine. Just always pay attention to your stuff especially in the metro and you'll be ok ! hope it helps :)

Blend in. Paris is multicultural so you will not stand out too much. Do not dress like a tourist. If you are alone, a trick I learn is to use earphones but with music off. Do not hangba camera on your body. Plan your metro route in advance. Do not take your map out in the streets or train stations, its an immediate tell tale sign. Instead download the map on your phone, everyone looks at their phone now. Blend in, dont stand out too much.
