Oh, Alexis, such a pleasure, always riveting. Grand room, of course, and the *perfection of the roses blows me away, foie gras for breakfast.. The red and white striped awnings on the windows opposite your terrace intrigued. When I think of the *Palais Royale, I always think of Colette and Jean Cocteau - friends (to each other) and once residents of the place. I had a professor in college who told us that you always knew Colette was in and *writing when you'd see a **blue light on in her apartment window. Imagine. Gorgeous, gorgeous-everything, Alexis. I *eat THROUGH you, and stroll those sophisticated, dense-with-luxury-and-intrigue streets and parks through you. Love it. Much joy until next. Be well.

More from Le Bristol, yay! And from the Palais-Royal, which I love. My fave shop in the arcades there is L'Escalier d'argent. I buy a tie every time I go. It's the shop with the gilets in the window that you walked past. The owner is a member of the Jacquard family of silk textiles fame.

Dear Alexis, you are as stylish as the beautiful hotels where you stay. A proof of the aforesaid was your choice of the restaurant "Le Petit Lutetia", the décor is beautiful and I am sure the food is to die for. I believe the gorgeous cat you saw belongs to the hotel. If I remember correctly a famous 5-star hotel has a cat whose job is to "greet" the customers. Perhaps this is it! Just a question, the drink that you had at the lounge on your return to the hotel, was it some kind of chocolate flavoured drink? It looked delicious! I wish you a nice weekend.

Yep, the cat Socrates is the hotel's mascot...he's so gorgeous, wish I could hold him 😊 And oh, that restaurant Le Petit Lutetia was all style but no substance haha - the owner was nice, tho.
