Merci , for a most charming interlude . I appreciate the fact that you never seem hurried , that you appreciate the ambience, and history of the treasures you introduce us to . I to have a fondness for the style of the Bell Epoque . The food looked fabulous ,I would not have baulked at pairing it with a good beer😊 . I was not surprising at only 200 seats , the atrium would have taken a lot of floor space . However I think it was a definite plus . I can inagine that even in the rain it would be a delightful space to enjoy a leisurely lunch . Would you have any idea of the identity of the gentleman whose portrait appeared on the roof ? Merci again .

Bonjour, I have been able to identify the gentleman pictured in the medallion . It is the writer Marcel Dassault. When writing a column for " Jours de France," he chose to call it , " Cafe du Commerce . A lovely tribute to him . In the end I did not need to actually contact the Cafe as their website is very informative. I look forward to visiting.
